Afternoon Elite. Had lots of rain here on Tyneside after good start to day (when I was still in bed) but hopefully clearing up now so off out for a drive up the coast and a look around some Asda and Sainsburys store - exciting holiday eh?
Weather looking better from tomorrow though so heading to Beamish then hopefully
I'll be here to raise a glass to PM tonight at 8. I think I am right in remembering that this tradition started when my Mr 3Dogs passed away at 8pm in July 2012 and the Elite raised a toast the following night in his honour at that same time, 8pm. I can testify to how tremendous the Elite are in times like this, the outpourings of grief and the support I received were tremendous and I will never forget that. I love you all and now have tears in my eyes :A
But life goes on for those of us left, so don't let the depression of what has happened cloud your day or life too much. Live life for today. Smile. Be happy. And keep glitching :jMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

similar predicament here.
My ipad I can update to IOS8 but haven't as I've heard no end of horror stories. My iphone 4 I cant update to IOS 8 so as there is nothing actually wrong with it I am going to stick with it until all of my apps need IOS8 to work.
OH has a blackberry and says as its android he does not have to this problem but then he says he prefers the simplicity of Apple ...
I think we are caught between a rock and a hard place ...
and on days like this it all seems so irrelevant“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
M4TIN have you had your glasses from barsupermarket yet. Have heard nothing since the day I ordered and I see from HUKD that some people have had theirs delivered. Fingers crossed here.0

I think it was Savvy who said she never knows when is the right time to comment in the midst of these moments. I again am in one of the moments, where my predicament seems laughable considering others lives right now. However, that said... I want to try and lighten the mood so here goes.
Considering OH and I have both decided to quit work on the same day with the aim of growing our business now has to be the worst time to find those bargain flights to Florida for the beginning of June.
Since the flights first came around in April at £199 I think it was, I've been too-ing and frowning with the idea of going. Our schedule from July onwards is chaotic with the business and means were going to be unlikely to go away again until February time.
Before you go oh poor you in a sarcastic tone. I work ridiculously hard, 12 hour days, 7 days a week. If you own a business you'll understand it's very hard to switch off, you've always got to be thinking, on the ball etc. So going away for us is a time to switch off.
So I've managed to get the flights for £250 (we're taking hand luggage), the tickets to the parks for £300 and looks like a half decent hotel with a shuttle to the parts for £300.
Our ESTA is still in date from NYC in January, and we can eat at the diners etc relatively cheaply. So for 2 weeks, were looking at around £1,100 each all in.
Do I bite the bullet?
My other half is going crazy with me, I'm such an indecisive person and the smallest decision can be a real tough one, so this rather big decision that seems very irresponsible given we've just quit work is a very hard one to go ahead and do.
I say yes. You've worked hard for it and I don't see any reason why you should not go for it
This coming from the person who's most mse way of booking her florida holiday was to go through tcbour hotel is b&b and i will be making sure that the rest of the holiday is as :money: as possible

Good Morning
Such tragic news
One wonders what goes in somebodys mind to commit such a selfish act in so many ways. That poor little girl left without her mum.
My nephew attempted the same thing just after Christmas. He had planned it and he was found just in time.He was sectioned for 28 days.
Now everyone is being so careful not to upset him.
Only last week he had a row with his girlfriend and walked out.
My sister was knocked up by the police in the middle of the night and he was tucked up in bed wondering what all the fuss was about.
You are the selfish one here - do you seriously think anyone wants to hear that - here - now?
It takes an amazing amount of courage to take your own life.
I have been there where PM was only(thankfully now) I was a coward I couldn't do it.

Thanks for the advice guys!
I see it as an investment holiday. We want to go, and it's highly unlike we'll get it this cheap again. Last year we made a list of the places we wanted to go before having kids. So we just kind of tick off the list when we can.
Funnily enough Orlando wasn't on it, but I've been before and OH hasn't and once I got the idea in my head I struggled to get it out. Being so sensible with money on top of the indecisiveness makes spending money like this is very hard.0 -
