If you work in Insurance then I feel sorry for your clients, if you don't (which I suspect as I think everyone of your posts on this thread have been incorrect) then it's understandable but at least accept the advice of people who understand what they talking about
Maybe you would care to answer the question that I put to you in my last post? To reiterate, if you want to obtain contents insurance from Aviva, do you think that you have to disclose to them any claim you have had during the past five years on your medical, travel or car insurance?
By the way, I'm quite happy to accept advice from people who know what they're talking about. But not quite so happy to accept it from those who simply purport to.0 -
I think that you flatter yourself somewhat.

As everyone keeps pointing out, you are expected to answer the questions.
A home Insurer is not interested in a medical claim but they are generally interested in claims for items also covered by a home policy eg baggage.
Equally a motor insurer is only interested in claims for items they cover eg the claims related to vehicles.
The question you quoted from Aviva is asking about claims and losses within the last five years. They want to know about claims related to home insurance.
If Aviva were interested in medical claims or motor claims they would have an option to declare these when you answer yes to having a claim. They do however have an option within the claims / losses question to declare an "Accident Loss/Damage Away from Home" which by the sounds of it is what the OP has suffered0 -

The sub questions on Aviva's website pertaining to house insurance relates to incidences relating to previous claims on house insurance and not medical insurance or car insurance.
The example you cited about loss/damage away from the home would be in relation to a previous claim made on household insurance for that particular peril, and not one made on a separate travel policy.0
