i want to join the likes of shopitize and checkoutsmart etc, where you buy a product from the supermarket and upload the receipt with your phone. I am not very good with technology! Can anyone recommend a good reliable android or smartphone which is very easy to use and upload till receipts etc, and it would be a bonus if there is one where the screen and numbers are big as am short sighted too.
Thanks in advance for any help as I havent got a clue what to search for.:beer:

Any smartphone will do the job. You can get one for as little as 99p new, but the screen size will be just 3".
As your motivation is to save money on shopping, you really need to decide how much you want to splash on the phone and how big screen you want/need. For the latter either check what your friends have or go to some shop like CPW.
For ~£60 you can buy a very decent tablet with 7" screen - as an addition to your old phone. Even cheaper if it's a less known brand.0 -
Don't get a Windows phone if you want to use Checkoutsmart0

thanks for your replies. Does anyone use checkout smart on here and if so what phone do you recommend. thanks again.0

I think, checkoutsmart isn't the main priority for smartphone users - unlike music, videos, games, photos, browsing, navigation etc. So what phones they use is irrelevant for you.

This says it all.

2.3 (Gingerbread) is a pretty old version of Android, released in 2011.Requires Android 2.3 and up0 -
Id look at either the Moto e or the Moto G, what kind of budget are we looking at here ?0

as cheap as possible but does the job well.0

I recommend the Motorola G 2nd edition (at around £144 sim free). It runs Android Lollipop 5.02 (until the latest upgrade is released), and has a 5" screen. You download any apps you want from the Play Store, including the shopping ones you mention - make sure you have a data allowance on your mobile tariff, unless you intend to only connect via wi-fi at home.0

as above but even cheaper at £95 locked to tesco.
but can be unlocked on ebay for under£2

Hi ballyblack
The Tesco offer is for the 4G version of the original Moto G, not the second edition model with the larger screen.0 -
I know that, but the poster wants;
