Slipped in Asda's, they deny it.

Last year my mother slipped on fluid in an Asda's store at the tills. She didn't get contact details of any witnesses but the one's who did see it were shouting at staff to do something as they all seemed a bit gormless, so it wasn't exactly something that went on unnoticed. There were no signs/warnings of the floor.
The thing is, my mother is a very relaxed type of person but if it wasn't for the lack of help from Asda's this would have all been done and dusted but Asda's have chosen to lie and ignore the fact that this has happened. She isn't the type who takes part in the "sue culture", she lives by the beach with her dog and is happy with that, but this has peed her off as you can imagine.
She filled an accident form out and has been receiving physio since, she's also been in contact with solicitors. Received letters from Asda's but only confirming my mums complaint.
She's documented in a time-line the steps she took after that which included talking on the phone (she didn't record) and Asda's saying everything was being documented and sent to the complaints department. They also took photos of my mother and the floor. They said she'll receive a letter within 28 days which she never received. She has time/dates of letters sent and phone calls made.
Now here's the reason for the thread. There's now no recollection of any slip recorded by Asda's. It will be on CCTV if they haven't destroyed the footage but other than that, mother has doctors notes and times/dates of the slip. They have no recollection of accident forms either. So all she has to go on is the injury she's dealing with and the hope of CCTV which they say they only kept for a few weeks.
The witness who helped my mother up worked in a hospital but mother didn't ask for her details as I guess she was stunned.
The injuries are pretty serious as in she finds it hard to walk in the first place (arthritis in knee)
In between the slipping and going back a few days after, the branch changed managers funnily enough which made things even more confusing.
Any advice please?
Chris.

What is she after exactly?
I would want to know what the store policy is for checking for spillages. Most spillages are by customers, and if no one has reported it, then you can't expect staff to clean it up if they have not been told.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
What do her solicitors recommend?0
-
No records, no witnesses, no CCTV, no chance.0

If she isn't part of the "sue culture", what role does the solicitor have in this? There's only one I can think of ...
If she has a health and safety concern she should contact the relevant local authority.0 -
