As is probably not surprising, they are ignoring me and my complaint. I feel a small claims summons coming on.

I really do think that too many courier coys take liberties with your time and patience.

What exactly are you planning to claim for?!

As stated earlier (several times), you need to check the terms and conditions of your agreement with the courier. That is, assuming that you made the contract with the courier in the first place.

I really think you are clutching at straws at the moment.

The courier company has a contract with the consignor not the consignee. If you are going to complain to anybody about the service complain to the people/person who sent the parcel.

That is correct, but from reading the OP's original post it is difficult to tell whether he arranged the delivery, or another party.

Have just reread the original post - I thought the OP's gripe was that he still had not got the item, but he has!

My advice to the OP would be to write it off as a bad experience and move on.

Am venting at the principle because to be honest, they are (IMHO) all much of a muchness.

But you cannot take somebody to small claims 'on principle'!

I still cant believe that you havent named them. If you feel as badly treated as you say and you want your holidays paid for Id name and shame them straightaway
  • A few more details for those interested:

The Company is Citylink (should be little surprise there) and this is rumbling on.........

    More to follow.

you see mto be making a mountain out of a molehill.
the mistake(and these happen)is the made an error on the next delivery day.
couriers dont 'book' a delivery with you so its always going to be unanounced.
you chose to take the next day off to collect the item so gave them no scope to ammend the error.
you could have called to arrange redelivery another day that suited you or collected on a day/time you were off anyway.
