Where should I live?

Hi there, I'm looking for a little advice...

I am looking to move and have no idea where to move to. I am looking for somewhere that has:

*Good music venues, large and small
*Good transport links including an international airport within reach
*Access to big towns/cities with all the usual facilities/jobs etc
*An accessible university
*Preferably close to the sea (the closer the better)
*Close to the countryside/forests
*Is affordable (I am moving from the South East)

There must be some elusive place on this beautiful island that ticks my boxes. Any suggestions? Thanks so much.

Barry - Vale Of Glamorgan seaside town, good access to Cardiff with all the music venues you could want, Cardiff Wales Airport not far away and of course Cardiff Uni in travelling distance.

That's what I was going to suggest, but OP says they're moving from the South East?

Does the accessible university not depend on the type and quality of the course you want to study? (Presuming that's why you want to be near a university. Unless you just really like students.)
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Right now I am close to Brighton and have been trying to buy a house there for the last year. I have had 3 purchases fall through and meanwhile prices are creeping up and up. Much as I adore Brighton I have decided it is time to let go and move further afield - start a new adventure. With currently no ties, I can pretty much move anywhere.

Bristol is somewhere on our list for sure (good for music too!).

University-wise my children are teens and are not yet ready to make choices for their futures. They may, of course decide to leave home and go to university elsewhere, or not to go at all, but want there to be an option, both for them and for me, should I decide to continue after the BA that I am one assignment away from completing!
