The one difference is the printed bit that they have added down the side over the packaging (which is hard to find unless looking for it) shows the code along with numbers as JASMINE on one and LIMESTONE on the other. This means that the contents of the two bags are completely different.
I am unsure what is confusing about what I am writing.
It is just the same as if one bag was jasmine colour and one was white, they would both be different but in the same packaging. Not my fault its packaged wrong but obviously the difference between white and jasmine would have been noticeable at the time the difference between the two were not noticeable as the bags were used at different times but as they are both the same bag the colour should surely be the same not completely different.
I think the part most people are struggling with is you saying the bags, codes etc were the exact same and then going on to say that one bag says jasmine and the other says limestone (therefore they are not the same).
The reason people likely were drawn to this part is because under SoGA you generally have no right to return items for a fault that would have been obvious upon inspection (providing you had the opportunity to inspect). You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
Again you did not read what I put.
The first bag was Jasmine, said jasmine on it, has jasmine emblazened all over it. The second bag was exactly the same - both from the same shelf. The only difference being is there is a secondary printed code added in a very small text on the underneath of the bag that had "JASM" on one and "LIME" on the other. Even the bar codes both matched.
The store accepted that there had been a couple occurrences of this problem reported throughout our county and accepted there had been a balls up with the manufacturers as they do not even do a limestone shade in their own brand.
There are 3 colour types in their own range - white, grey and jasmine. If i pick up 2 bags of jasmine, other than it being completely obvious if one had grey or one had white why would I expect the contents to be any different. The difference between jasmine and limestone is only slight, but noticeable when applied and dried.
If you have a choice of crisps (I know I keep harping on about it but its the simplest way to try and describe) salt and vinegar, ready salted or cheese and onion. You pick up two bags of ready salted, pay for them, go home, when you open them would you expect one of those bags to contain prawn cocktail flavour, a flavour they dont even have as a choice, rather than what you chose? No!!
Anyway the store have come out and fixed it for me and as most of you, other than myself and the store, seem to think I am the one in the wrong for their manufacturer putting the wrong colour in the wrong bag I am happy to leave it there.0 -

If that post was in response to mine perhaps you need to read mine again. I was only explaining why people have likely responded in the way they did.
IMO it wasnt clear in earlier posts especially that it was the wrong product in the wrong packaging rather than another colour/type that they sell. That is why people originally were asking did you not notice etc.You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0
