I was interested in some of the economic discussions there too, but I am now very wary that my opinion was influenced by a site that allows no alternate views.

If there's anything economy related you're interested in discussing, it's almost certainly been covered on this board so have a look, but if not start a thread.

    And welcome by the way....

Alternate views are definitely encouraged here.;)

The forum hpc.co.uk is in complete meltdown.

The 'is it time to give up?' thread has garnered 27 pages and the last ten or so are ugly. Downright ugly. (Now moved to anecdotal as they want it off the front page)

HPC'ers are turning on one another. People with hundreds of posts who have been members for years are being accused of being elaborate Fifth Columnists. Some posters have started wondering why there aren't any dissenting views (surely the mods can't be banning people who disagree).

The saddest thing though is the tales of human misery. Families who could have bought outright 10 years ago have been forced to rent by bullheaded hpc fathers who now can't even get a mortgage on the place they could have owned, prices have risen so far.

And then there are the die hards. They cannot accept that there won't be a house price crash. The bile and venom they have for home owners is tragic. Just pure jealousy.

is it comparable to the bile and venom that some posters have for their parents' and grandparents' generation?

If you think I am tough on boomers (and the causes of boomers) then the forum hpc.co.uk would make your hair stand on end.
