Wednesday 6th May - What small DFW things will you do today?

Olliegami

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important! :money:

Morning all!
I've made a huge decision over the last few days - and since then I've been applying for jobs in Melbourne and Sydney. Rural life is just too slow for me, I've decided! So we'll see how it goes.
Other than that I've managed not to spend any money again. Still plodding along. /sigh.0 -

Morning All
Well I had a great start. Found 31p roadkill in sainsburys this morning. 20p right by the door. 10p by a till and 1p by the self service. As it was dead I hoovered it up and used it towards my shopping
The big cheque had finally cleared so I rang around a few of my business accounts this morning and cleared off a chunk. I also paid a deposit on my insurance for this year which took the payments from £175 over 10 months to £145 so a saving of £30 monthly. I also paid some money off my business CC.
So that's all the good stuff. However I have been stood here since 9am without seeing a soul. The last 2 days were shocking. Bank holiday Monday took £60, yesterday £40. I just don't know where people go?? Last Friday it was so busy I couldn't keep up. In the next week period up to the 15th I have all my main payments to make. Which includes my rent. Times like this I just feel like giving up. The schools are in, there is no obvious reason for the lull. It is just so frustrating.
A customer knocked it on the head yesterday he said, everyone is so pleased your open again but it's getting them to realise you won't be if they don't walk through that door every so often. From the mouth of babe's
At home, OH is put tonight helping a friend do some DIY. So I defrosted some chicken from the big sack. I will cook that for son and I then husband can have a cold plate with salad and potatoes when he gets back.
All the washing is up to date so that's one less job for this evening.
Ollie - moving area sounds like it might give you new ops for extra debt slaying too?" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D
