As is the rate at which I'm getting my debt under control. Why didn't I work this out a few decades ago? I might not be facing an impoverished old age. Ah, but having a little light bulb moment. I am just as happy, if not more so, on a tight budget than spending cash willy nilly. Praps that poor old age won't be so bad!
Well, you can't change the past,so try not to focus too much on all those 'if onlys'....At least you're changing your ways now, which is the main thing.
You know,living on a budget,even a tight budget isn't that bad.
How many items have you bought in the last few years that you feel you really needed or have truly appreciated.I would hazard a guess that it's not many, though I might be wrong, but doubt it.
Spending for spending's sake/keeping up with all the new trends/spending out of boredom, habit,'because it makes me feel good' etc -really is a terrible, terrible modern trend,so well done for fighting back.
