pavlovs_dog - thanks for the eBay suggestion, I will have a look at that seller. We are flying from Manchester so unsure whether they have them there - although I'm sure they will. Sounds like my best option as not got much chance to get to the shops before I go.

i also started a thread on this recently (see here) and was told that they are available free at airports. but i a) didnt want to risk them not having any, and me having to check my bits in instead, and b) having to faff around at security fishing around for the bits to go into the bag.

when i realised i could buy them for literally pennies, i decided to go wild :D and splurge. holidays are about relaxing, after all :D they seem to be a really professional outfit, and i'd happily buy from them again. i like the way you can buy in different quantities (ive even seen on his feedback where people have just bought two bags... not sure whether you have to message them and they put up a buy it now  ). its a nice change to get such good customer service for once; nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them.

hope you have a fab holiday :j

My local Netto still has loads of these clear flight bags in stock.

Anyone know whether Heathrow Airport (T2) offers free clear bags?

EDIT - Just phoned BAA, they say clear bags are available at all Heathrow's security points :D

Yes they were handing them out on Friday , its all a bit of a farce tbh , they let us go through with a baby cup of milk and let the baby go through scanner in pushchair

Coming back at Jersey airport my daughter had to taste the baby's drink and the pushchair had to go through the x ray machine

we flew last week to dublin from glasgow prestwick and they never even looked our bags and i left them in the case, i got the small ones from asda.

In may we flew from glasgow via dubai, singapore then onto brisbane with the large bags and they much bigger and not one thing was said at all airports.
