Afternoon all!
I think I'm going blind, can't seem to find the official eBay thread to post a question. Anyone got the link?
Or alternatively, anyone know why I, as a user with nearly 300 feedback can only post 20 listings a month, but my OH, who only has about 10 feedback and who's account I used to add some extra free listings this week has suddenly received an email essentially saying "you're a fab ebayer, let us help and bump you up from 10 free listings, to 30 free listings a month!"?
I can't find anything on the subject after a quick google. I thought the standard for private users was 20, is it not? Suffice to say, I am baffled!!£10 a day 2017 - APR £60.12 / MAR £82.24 / FEB £142.82 / JAN £241.240 -

Surfchik 80, I am a above standard seller, I get 20 free listings a month and 20 scheduled listings.
But I also get a lot of 100 free listings when promotion on.
If you want more listings, speak to eBay on live chat, they may give you more. Let us know0 -

Evening all:j
I'm struggling with this! How does everyone else make £10 a day? I seem to spend so much time doing online surveys but can't get anywhere near the cash out target!
Does anyone have any tips or advice on other ways to do this... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I can assure you that not everyone makes £10 a day on here
Suggest you go back to beginning of thread and read the first few posts - full of ideas.
Also if you go to 'income' on the very top bar there are loads of ideas for making money.
If you read and post on here everyday you will pick up ideas and maybe even have some yourself.
Good luck

I'm as baffled by eBay's policies on this as you are. I have nearly 800 100% positive feedbacks and have never yet received the extra 100 free listings that eBay seem to scatter like confetti to practically everyone else:(.
I contacted them in desperation recently and the reply was that they were working on making the offer available to more sellers:T. Good job I didn't hold my breath as nothing happened.
Don't just rely on receiving an invitation email from them though. Lots of people report just finding a notification somewhere in their selling account that they've got the free 100 extra listings. I've searched everywhere in mine and have never found one.:(
Is this the link you're after?

I have never ever come across a seller with more than the 20 free regular listings a month, I would threat any email that suggests a regular 30 free listings a month as suspicious. I am ignoring the usual free 100 listings that many of us get regularly.
The only thing I wonder is of the email was misread . It is usual for new sellers to have limits on what they can list, for the first few months it is usually only 6 or 10 listings a month. That limit is often increased once a seller has 10 feedback and a well performing account, so it might just be that the listing limits have been raised, not that they are free .I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thanks for all your replies. Very helpful!
Aesop - I too am above average rated and most feedback is seller related. Hence my huge confusion over OH apparent luck with the situation lol! I've never been lucky enough to receive the 100 listing 'gifts' either. Always a firm 20. However, I've also never really had cause to contact eBay before, nor considered it an option, so I think I'll take your advice there and see what they have to sayI'll keep you posted.
Carbootcrazy - As above, you mentioned you'd also contacted eBay direct. I'll give it a go too. Re: where the notification of allowances can be found, I find this depends on whether I am using the pc, tablet, mobile and also if it is an app or within a standard browser!! Would this make a difference to your search perhaps? I don't know your preferred method of use, but it's just a thoughtThanks also for the link - huge help!
Soolin - thanks for input! I know you're the resident expert! It's definitely an official email. That was the first thing I checked - what with me being a little incredulous and him being extremely smug lol. It also came from within eBay itself, so I really can't see any issue there. On top of this, OHs seller 'dashboard' if you like, clearly shows he has 30 listings available. I have never heard the number 30 bandied around anywhere, so It has totally confused me! His limit the day before, as you rightly point out was just 10, what with him being so low in ratings. It's bizarre. However, if you haven't seen this before, I at least feel a little better about the confusion
Anyway, thanks so much to each of you for allowing me to hijack the thread a little with eBay related stuff. I'll contact them as stated and report back when I know more.£10 a day 2017 - APR £60.12 / MAR £82.24 / FEB £142.82 / JAN £241.240
