see these kind of things worry me about a carboot. the fact people steal from you, I would be on my own, other carbooters want to see what you are selling before you get it out, and not making enough to cover pitch hire
I agree with all of that, Aesop. Used to be so nice in the 'old days' when I did my first one, about 1987 I think. They've become too popular in a way and attracted the wrong sort of people.
Have never had anything stolen yet though (to my knowledge anyway) but I once caught a teenager transferring a quite expensive brand new big make-up palette from the £2 box on the stall to the 'everything 20p' box on the floor. She gave me a lot of agro when I refused to sell it for 20p and her loud-mouthed Dad came rushing over and started swearing at me:eek:. The stallholder next to me intervened and the 'buyers' left. Shook me up a bit.
I do car boots on my own and it's getting quite scary setting up at about 5.30 in the morning early and late in the season when it's still dark. That's the bit I hate the most.0 -

Hi all
this is the link to the referrer's board, to find a thread, on the right hand side, click on search this forum and type in the name of what you are looking for, ie dropbox.
It will bring up hopefully only one referral thread!

ah fab! :T don't forget to check quidco and topcashback before going to argos or if you go through swagbucks, not sure if you can do reserve and collect any more. but topcashback had a thing about argos. mind it me over £50 spend.
Thanks, Aesop:T
Don't do Swagbucks so can't go through them, even if I knew what you meant:o.
Was thinking of checking out TCB and Quidco but I doubt the cashback will be much and I need to pay instore rather than online because I have some Argos vouchers to use up. OH had £10 left over from a batch he got as a freebie when he took out an insurance policy for something yonks ago. I think there is an expiry date looming and there's nothing else he wants from there so has said I can have them:j. I've got another £5-worth from surveys. Will be a nice chunk off the phone.
It's ages since I used 'click and collect'/reserve in store (ages since I bought anything for myself at all:() but I recall that they have to be paid upfront and not when collecting in the shop. Or have I got it wrong?0 -
Hiya,
Everything has gone a bit stale over the last few days. My grandad is in hospital and I've been stressing over that because he is a 4 hour train journey away so can't see himand haven't had any motivation to do anything.
I had this big plan to list loads of things on ebay, but will have to wait as I will have to go away saturday - tuesday now.
Been doing the odd thing here and there such as swagbucks, and geolotto. Haven't had many surveys I could complete which is annoying. I normally get a few from valued opinions
I should get a £15 cheque from complete savings cashback site for signing up for their free 30day trial, and by purchasing two things from their retailers. Was buying train tickets anyways and something to pick up from boots so a bonus. Will cancel as soon as I have the confirmation otherwise will need to pay £15 subscription each month! (checked terms and no cancellation fees, or reason needed, and get to keep the cheque). Won't add that to my total until have received it though.
Well done on all the extra income you guys and gals have been making. I am impressed and gives me lots of ideas, so thank you :TMake £5 a day in August£21.54/£155
