Soolin is the eBay expert and best one to advise. I think Sunday at 8pm is still a good time for buyers or whenever Corrie is on. I am finding some of my stuff has to be listed at 99p to generate any interest even though I am not keen.0

OH did a carboot and made a £140 profit (cost £20 for his van!!!) and I cased out £5 from Swagbucks, which is all really positive. Have a bad taste in my mouth though over an ebay sale in April - got an email today apparently the goods havent been received... I marked them as being dispatched on the 17th and its taken this long to get in touch - so I refunded her the money and now will have to wait to claim back from Royal Mail :-(
Oh and some thieving g!t stole three posh dresses we were selling as OH set up :-( what is wrong with some people?????Make £10 per day in May £89.29/£3100 -

Congratulations to your OH, mumstheword for a lucrative car boot sale. That was a nice profit but shame about the fee for his van. Daylight robbery:eek:
I'm sorry he had some dresses stolen, there are some real lowlifes sometimes at these events. I usually do boot sales on my own and I always feel very vulnerable when setting up first thing in the morning as it's usually still dark at this time of the year. The dealers get there early to try to buy the best stuff at knock-down prices especially from newbies who don't know the ropes. I've been doing sales for donkey's years so know what to expect now but it still makes me anxious when these dealers practically climb into my hatchback and start rummaging in boxes etc. Yes, that really happens! I'm confident enough now to tell them where to get off but it still shakes me up a bit:eek:
Congratulations to everyone else who has made money this Bank Holiday:beer:0 -
Morning all, Sorry to hear about the dresses being stolen mumstheword***, we had the same thing when we did a bootsale as my mum was selling make up which can easily be thrown in a handbag or pocket and i was selling warhammer which are little 28mm war gaming figures, no bigger than a £2 coin so very easy to throw in a pocket, this time i've asked my Mum if she wants to do one with me as another set of eyes.
Posting loads of items i've sold over the bank holiday weekend after work. I hope everyone has a great first day back to work!!!

I am running a bit late, but I would like to join for May. I think I was over ambitious in April and did not do well, so I am going to go for £5 per day this time.
I am trying to get my dad to do a boot sale with me. Can't believe people steal from them!
So far I have sold £22.48 on eBay.
£2.50 in egg sells. Chickens need to earn their keep!0 -
