  • I hope you're all enjoying the Bank Holiday weekend:beer:. Been bucketing down here since dawn so no car booting for me today:(. Was going to 'go halves' with a friend (as my car is undriveable at the moment:eek:) but she decided last night not to risk it as we'd seen the weather forecast and it looked like being horrendous here. Just starting to brighten up a bit but sale would have ended about noon.

Not sure yet whether she'll want to risk tomorrow morning either. The only reasonably local one is on a playing field renowned for being waterlogged (flooded even:eek:) after heavy rain. She's more of a fair-weather booter than me. Bank holiday weather, eh?:(

    A good start, MrCrimeFiction:T

The problem with TCB and Quidco IMO is that even after cashback has been approved some companies take months not weeks to pay up. I once had to wait 4 months for an insurance quote payout even though it had tracked and was approved within days:(. I did get it eventually though but I never declare those sort of things in my monthly total until I've actually transferred it over to my bank account.

Good Luck for the rest of the month:beer:

    Hello again

I completely agree, although sometimes I like getting paid "later" as its sometimes unexpected money :rotfl:

I did another deposit and wager at another bookmaker, but this time I actually managed to win and keep my money so I withdrew what I deposited. Im hoping the £15 cashback track as its technically free money. Although I'm still on £0 for May, I feel I've made some sort of progress.

Still need to find some things to sell though

Very successful day here so far.
I got up this morning to put my fancy (got in sale) White stuff jumper on put it was so bobbly I decided it was only fit for the bin. Decided as its only 6 months old and worn half a dozen times I'd take it to store to see if they would do anything, got a full refund £24!
Then met two people for Facebook sales £60.
Also got a starting bid of a whopping 99p on an eBay item (won't count until it ends)

    £84 total :j
    May 2015 £10 a day currently £208

    Evening all :)

Really enjoying this challenge and reading about everyone's earnings :) I have just requested the £2.79 that was sitting in my quidco so that I'm not siting at £0! ha! Going forward I'll not record it until its actually in my account but I wanted to have something positive in my signature!
I did a MS at the weekend and bought some veggies for the garden, so a win win there, plants for nothing that will feed me later in the year :) happy days, payment not due till the end of the month though.... Have another on Tuesday at Lidl, never been before so looking forward to checking it out and seeing how far I can make my £5 spend limit stretch! I think I'll put whatever I spend into my food budget as normal and then when the MS money goes into my account, count it all as 'extra' money. Is that how people would usually do it?
Have signed up to swagbucks and downloaded the iPhone apps, I just leave them running so I collect the maximum SB for each app, leaves a pretty healthy daily rate, especially when I do a couple of surveys online. Means I meet my daily goals no problem :) should hopefully be cashing out a fiver a week...
Also signed up to geolotto, I'm not sure I'm doing it properly! ha! have like 43p after a couple of days....does that sound right?!
Have a number of items on ebay too, couple with bids, most with a good few watchers. Thinking about doing a car boot sale before the month is out as I have a few things that I just don't think are worth sticking ebay. Have had a look at our local one, its £7.50 for your car and then £2.50 for a table... is that pretty standard? seems quite expensive to me but I've never done one before so I've really no idea what I'm talking about!
sorry for the long post and all the questions!
  • Lovely to meet you. mmharko:wave:. Looks like you have got May off to a good money-making start:T.

I'm sure someone will be along soon who can answer your questions. Aesop is the geolotto expert on here:).

As for the car boot fees I think it's a case of where you live. A friend did one in Essex and the fee was about £10:eek:. Where I live it's usually £5 or very rarely £6. Sellers usually provide their own tables or spread things out on the ground, usually both. I haven't heard of any boot sales which charge to rent tables.

    Good Luck with everything:beer:

Well 3 days in and I've made 20p which I found on the floor at work lol I was considering doing a carboot tomoz as bank hols are normally popular but I have work instead.

I spent the £2 I won on free geolotto games on Dougs adventure games and have 119 draw entries so dunno if that's a good thing or not.

    Hiya everyone

    Made £17.11 today - yeah :T

Did £2.50 on surveys and then decided to enter my latest Amazing site codes so they are on my account in case companies disappear.

I discovered that I had over £40 accumulated and so started looking for a few things I had promised to buy us when I had enough. I then saw that

they have an offer until Monday that they have marked lots and lots of things - 'make an order for £50 and get a £10 discount' -
so I did and as some were discounted as well I saved £14.61 :j

So if you're thinking of buying from them shortly I'd have a look now :D

Hope you all have a super Sunday
    Lx

    Well done, Lynne:T

I thought I knew what you meant about the offer on the amazing site but I couldn't find it when I searched. My code-cracking skills are obviously rubbish and I misunderstood you:eek:

Please could you give a few more details, in a PM if you prefer. Thanks:A
