    Evening DFW-Ninjas,

Just a quick visit tonight. Got a horrid feeling out Freeview Recorder is about to die...

    The List:

:starmod:Took a packed lunch to work. Didn't buy anything in the canteen.

:starmod: Check balances before OH goes to shops tomorrow.

:starmod: Have committed to an annual de-clutter this weekend.

That's all for now. Good luck on your quests, Ninjas.

    Evening all :)

It looks like we've all been there with a uniform drama, I remember putting school trousers in the tumble drier (dry) to get the creases out and with a scented sheet thingy when we didn't have any cleans ones!

Great news about the ombudsman and payout, Bob :)

Today I ate breakfast from stores but bought lunch, just a cheapie sandwich and a packet of crisps but I have a potato in the oven as we speak cooking so I can just reheat it for lunch tomorrow so I don't make the same mistake. I've already grated some cheese to go with it and we have a couple of spoonfuls of coleslaw left in the bottom of a pack in the fridge.

My mum gave me £12 which was from a bingo win (she is the luckiest person I know and swears it's because she shares it out that she's lucky) but I spent it on getting new door keys cut for DS as he's lost his (again.)

Tonight I've eaten a spag bol ready meal from the freezer which I don't actually like but it's all food and stopped me from going to the chippie which I really, really fancied on the train.

I'm almost exactly half way through my contract at work now, only another 6 months of guaranteed income and still no nice houses on the market to downsize. On the plus side there seems to be bits of work about though not full weeks but if push comes to shove even odd days will cover the bills if you get enough of them.

Oops, off to watch Alex Polizzi (I love HOtel Inspector!)

    Night all :)

  • Thanks for making me feel at home again :) It's been pretty rough, but I never forget that there are people worse off than me

I'm taking it relatively easy. Lots of sitting down (hence weight gain) interspersed with gentle exercise, usually involving a walk to the kitchen (hence weight gain :)) I'm signed off work for another week, then I'm off to see the Surgeon to make sure everything is ok and I'll, hopefully, be returning to work (on light duties). It could be a lot worse.

Successful day today. Achieved all of my list. Looking forward to a less stressful day tomorrow.

    Good Morning All

Bob - Sending big hugs, sorry you are so down at the moment :o

Hi to all of the regulars and a BIG welcome to all the newbies, this is a really FAB thread with so many lovely, caring, considerate and supportive people.

Well yesterday I managed to make 30 cards for Spring Fayre at mum's place and managed to sort/use up quite a bit of craft stuff but I'm also making two craft boxes up for my nieces and grandkiddies - I have to be realistic there is only so much "stuff" I can and will use, plus I need to re-think just how much stuff I save - odd playing cards, old calendars, etc. Today's little list:

Packed lunch for DH & DS - Done
Make appointment for eye test - Done, should be no warnings of stroke this year
Clean patio doors inside - Done
TV off & music on (smooth jazz yesterday, wonder what today will bring - 80's rock?/power ballads:rotfl:)- Power Ballads - apologies if it caused further rain/snow in your part of the country ;)
Craft - Few more cards and lots more sorting
Continue purge on Emails - WIP
Continue purge on FB & Twitter - WIP
    Surveys - Done a few
    Check Banks - Done
    Check swapits -
Enter a few comps - Done a few
All meals from cupboards/fridge/freezer - Done
Make (another) Fruit Salad - Tomorrow
Pamper feet this evening - Done, they will be ready for Summer when it arrives ;)
Check https://www.freepostcodelottery.com - Remember there are now 5 chances to win - Done
    Read - Start tomorrow

Have a great day, love to you all

    C x

PS Price up large lego base boards - as hoping to turn a magazine table/rack into a lego table for kiddies - it's more a cube but will paint and pop lego base board on top, remove door and put a basket and the side rack can be for books/leaflets

Had a great day, managed lots and having a good week (depression wise), although my body aches in a good way from doing a little more exercise every day. Also managed

Read meters (& charted) - another unit shaved off the electric and 3 off the gas this week (will be glad when heating can go onto hot water only for summer)

Chased up a refund for postage it cost me to return a faulty item

Received a voucher for £4 from Walkers for a Meal Deal - hubby can have sandwich and crisps to take to work Sat and drink wil be for DS (Current promotion on multipacks)

Thought I'd done more but can't have:rotfl: but still happy

    Night all
