  • Adrian yes under warranty, the cars is just out of 12 months old.

    Colino yep :o

Alleycat, yes, crap parts to save on money and weight.
They have already changed some bits and bobs on the so called version 2 production...with flippin extras on the same model as mine that mine didnt come with, and cannot be retro fitted.
I did tell Nissan uk that I thought that was very naughty of them since the car was not even 12 months old.

Well, not really naughty of them. God forbid they might want to attract customers and make a profit.

only going by other remarks by other dealers on one or two of the Nissan forums as in Jag service manger in one case who has just exchanged a jag on the same reason.
cheers for the name and shame forgot to about that

Sorry to say but you can't really.compare a Jaguar to a Nissan.

Good luck in getting them to accept a rejection after a year for trim issues.

As other have said I don't think you will be successful.

And I seriously doubt it has a steering box

As for rejecting a car after a year for trim rattles - good luck with that. "Not fit for purpose" is a stretch. I'd be taking it to a different dealership for warranty attention.

But "not of satisfactory quality" isn't necessarily.

Whoever you send it to, take that letter and reduce the word count by 75% . Use simple facts. Then review and see if it makes sense to the reader and make it clear what you want the fix to be

    cheers for that.
  • so, going back to my original question,
if for example and sake of argument, if they do agree to having it rejected.
what are the procedures, as far as money concerned, do they give us the money as the car stands no.
would they over us a current reg but we would have to pay the difference from our car as it stands now etc etc.

if we could just stick to that please.
    many thanks

If they agreed to an exchange then no you won't be entitled to a newer car. Anything will be like for like.

If your rejection stands, they are entitled to deduct an amount from the refund to reflect the use you've had.

Rejection for used cars isn't always straight forward in the eyes of the law, dealing with dealers in such circumstances can be even more problematic!

I'd remove the pedantic points like two sheared bolts in the engine bay - did this affect anything? Where was they even?
    And the boot strut!

If they do agree, then you'll have to agree that with their customer service, but you really can't expect to ignore the twelve months of use and depreciation you've had from it.
