Sorry, POP - proof of posting (certificate of posting or chit showing the item was collected/dropped off). The POP proves you sent the item within the specified time and usually has the address on (MyHermes doesn't I know).

I should have guessed that! I have uploaded the chit from MyHermes and you are right it doesn't have the address on but the screen shot shows the post code so hopefully that should be enough.

Then email through the dispute console to remind paypal you have full seller protection. Then, if you don't trust paypal- and I don't, phone them to tell them as well.

I can't find how to email them, could you point me in the right direction please?

There should be an option in the dispute centre to upload more info, use that, even if you have to type a document, save it as a word doc and upload that.

Just like to update you that I had an email from PP today saying that I am covered by seller protection and that the amount is now available in my PP balance.

Thanks for your help guys, much appreciated.

    Great news

Make sure you pass on the info if you ever see one of these chargebacks mentioned elsewhere very often sellers are too busy moaning about being scammed by eBay to realise they can claim seller protection.

The more we pass it on the less sellers will lose money.

I'm not on this board very often but I will certainly do that if I do come across anyone in the same position.

Can I retract the feedback that I gave to this person?

Also what happens now, do the cc compay have to argue the toss with PP about who refunds the money?

You can't retract positive feedback but (if within the time limited) you might be able to add to it.

If Paypal have paid you from the seller protection scheme, they will then fight (or not) with the CC company.

I was able to add a follow up to the feedback stating what had happened and that I had no communication from the buyer.

I was going to suggest a follow up but warn you to be very careful what you say so as not to get a slap from ebay for feedback abuse.

I've just left a follow up for my current chargeback- basically saying I hope she gets her paypal hacked account sorted, but I phrased it as being sorry for her- but really of course to warn other sellers. I'm hoping I've been clever enough with the wording to get it to stick- and I've left it both as a follow up to feedback left for me, and for feedback I have already left for her.
