Charge back for a delivered item

This is the first time this has happened to be but someone has opened up a charge back case through paypal.

The item was brand new and was shipped back in January with delivery confirmed. There was no feedback left on ebay and they have not been in contact via there just straight to this. The address that I sent the item to was confirmed in paypal and the postcode also matches the one that has come up in the charge back case. The buyer is now saying that they did not authorise the purchase.

I have responded to this by entering the the relevant info in paypal. I just wanted to gage what the likely outcome of this will be?

If you sent to the confirmed Paypal address and have it tracked to prove it was arrived (or even proof of postage to show it was sent) then you should win.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

You absolutely must provide proof of posting to win this- any proof at all that item was sent .

Upload everything to the paypal dispute, make sure you check it has uploaded - there is a second button to confirm so don't miss that. Then email through the dispute console to remind paypal you have full seller protection. Then, if you don't trust paypal- and I don't, phone them to tell them as well.

As long as item was sent to the address supplied by paypal within 7 days of payment and you have proof you sent it then you have full seller protection- just keep reminding paypal of that. I won one very recently , actually had it cancelled in my favour within 6 days.

Don't forget to block the buyer! I had one which I lost last year as I had no tracking, imagine my surprise when the same buyer bought another item from me a few months later.
I cancelled the sale and the buyer emailed to ask me why - bizarre!

It was sent via MyHermes so have given them the reference number which confirms the date and time it was delivered.

be careful, paypal are strict with their rules- you need to show postage not delivery. Best thing is to print and upload the proof item was collected from you, or dropped off at a shop.

It tracks it from drop off to delivery though. I will print it off showing all this and upload it as well then.

As soolin says, Paypal can be odd with their POP. Do you have the blue chit the courier gives when he collects? If so, upload that.

Yep I have found that and uploaded as well as a screen shot detailing the item from drop off to delivery.

Sorry, POP - proof of posting (certificate of posting or chit showing the item was collected/dropped off). The POP proves you sent the item within the specified time and usually has the address on (MyHermes doesn't I know).
