Another drive-by post! But I am so stoked, I couldn't keep my trap shut any longer :D

I've hit pan today on not one but TWO shadows in my MUAUM2 palette :j One was the matte cream shade which didn't surprise me greatly as I have been using it every day as a brow highlight and it already had a wee dip at the start of the month. But the second one was the darkest warm brown (right hand end of the top row for those who have the palette), I didn't think I had used it that much (and if I'm really honest, I think it's probably just very soft and not pressed in that well) but I can see silver nonetheless :D

I'll be back after dinner, no doubt, step skids are here and I tend to leave DH watching Gavin And Stacey with DSD; I liked it the first couple of items, could just about tolerate it the next three times but a hundred and ninety kabillion times later, I would rather poke my own eyes out with a spoolie :P

    :T:T:T:beer::j

Well done Fizz - that's really exciting!! Must be such a good feeling to know that you are getting through that palette. Are you enjoying using it?

Thanks for the welcome back :D I have been lurking for the past few months but not posting. I am planning on putting together a use 4x4 together. Need to have a look through the stash.

Willowbee thanks for the info about the products that didn't work for you. I think we must have a similar skin type - I had a sample of the Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser and that made me look really oily. I get on fairly well with the new Loreal matte foundation although it doesn't keep my skin matte for long!

Dolly glad I could help deter you from the Aesop mask  I definitely did not think it deserved all the hype - so many bloggers rave about it - but as I said, I did only use a few sample sachets.

I haven't tried the Chanel bronze universal or the L'oreal true match. I have the 'In the Light' palette too but am ashamed to say I have only used it once despite owning it for over a year

Well done on resisting your purchases DreamyP

I've just swatched a few shades from each palette and the MUR ones seem softer than the MUA ones. I think with both brands the shimmers are beautifully soft but the mattes aren't as good (this seems to be a common problem). I got the MUA Immaculate Collection as a freebie but I never reach for it as the colours are so jumbled it just defeats me! I have the MUA 'Smokin Eye Palette' that looks perfect (5 neutral mattes, 5 jewel toned shimmers) and I'm going to put that with my UD palette so I can try it out properly. My favourite is definitely the MUR Redemption Palette in Romantic Smoked though. It's beautiful and there is one shade that I'd re-buy the whole palette for! :rotfl:

Did you hear the rumour about Dallas being discontinued? I almost panic bought one when I first heard that but I've just checked the Debs website and it's still there...

I know what you mean about the matte colours. Finding it hard to eyeline with them. Have now acquired the palette from Emma in a swap!! Gave her my bottle of OPI Suzi Shops and Island Hops last night. Don't like the formula of this one. No matter how I apply it it streaks. Now that the palette's mine I'll have a go at wetting some and see if that helps.

I heard that about Dallas Willowbee although I have never bought it myself. I also heard that Nars Doucer (not sure that's how you spell it) blush has been discontinued but have not tried that either. It's one that is often raved about by beauty bloggers.

Just got me thinking - what hyped up beauty product have you bought and been most disappointed by?

I love Dallas and have heard this rumour too. I bought Nars Decatour as a substitute for it but its not as bright. Will have to repurchase Dallas at some point.

Was disappointed by Rimmel Lunalips lipgloss and threw this away. The wand was awful and the gloss itself was too runny.

Have not had a lip crayon that I have found not to be scratchy. Have tried Revlon, Rimmel and Avon.

I'm wearing pink today : OPI Just Lanaaing Around from the new Hawaii collection. Love this one.

DreamyP will look out for Vixen Fabulous as well.

Another UU from my PP list: Elemis Frangipani Monoi Melt Olil 35ml. This one took me by surprise. I took it out of the cupboard last night to massage some into MrM's neck (how caring am I??) and hadn't realised just how little was left in the bottle. Am pretty sure there are another 5 in the stash though.

Want to paint my nails actually but I have a terrible hang nail problem - it doesn't look good at all. I have tried a lot of things but just doesn't go away :( Might try a deluxe mani..

Do you file your nails? If so it could be the way you are doing it, maybe the shape, the file or just too vigorous.

FizzWhizz - Well done on hitting pan - they shadows are quite small so I bet you'll race through that palette.

DreamyP - well done on resisting - you are going in the right direction.

VALM - I started the rumour about Dallas on here, an SA at a Benefit counter told me and she used past tense so I assumed it had already gone - she must have been mistaken.

    I have two uu's

Gok Gorgeous Shower Scrub - this was a full size tube and lasted ages. I apply it dry then lather it off in the shower, it does a good job and smells lovely.

Nuxe Youth & Radiance Revealing Fluid 15ml - this was nice but there was no information on the tube so I wasn't sure if it was a serum or moisturiser and I never bothered to check it out.

Also gave a 500ml tub of Epaderm to my Mum, DD used to get this on prescription, we still have 3 others in the stash.

I do actually - could it be the reason? I use a glass nail file - perhaps it is too harsh!

A quick UU post but I hope to be back later to catch up with the thread properly.

Sai-Sei Mineral Refresh Bath & Shower Gel (10ml) - WMB if it's in the SpaceNK sale again. Gorgeous scent, lovely gentle formula and it seemed really concentrated - 10ml was plenty for three showers :)

Comfort Zone Aromasoul Mediterranean Shower Gel (10ml) - WNB. Nothing special either in scent or formula.

Comfort Zone D-age Body Cream (10ml) - this was gorgeous! Smelt lovely, amazing texture and 10ml went a really long way. Only reason I WMB was I looked it up and it's £58 for 200ml! :rotfl:

Comfort Zone Body Strategist+ Remodeller Cellulite Cream (10ml) - WDNB. It stung! It went really cold then really hot and made me feel itchy for at least 30 minutes

Daily Fix Muscle Relief Bath Soak (150ml) - lovely and WBA. I have a 500ml bottle tucked away (it was v cheap in the SpaceNK sale)

Origins Drink Up Intensive (30ml) - WNBA. Lasted forever! Very :money: if you like it :rotfl: Used up as a daily moisturiser on my neck as it didn't seem to do much as a mask. (I have high expectations with Origins as some of their products work exceptionally well for me.)

Melvita Rose Floral Water (28ml) - WNB. Nice to use but I have another one left and it isn't that different to other toners I've used.

Rihanna Nude EDP sample - WNB. Nice initial scent but no lasting power.

Catherine Malandrino EDP sample spray - Too sweet and the scent doesn't last that long. (Fun for a change but WNB)

I'm pushing myself to UU samples as I've realised I like taking reliable/well loved products with me if I travel. I've amassed lots of mini bottles and jars to decant things into. (At some point I'm going to have to declutter my empty container collection :rotfl:)

I went with Rimmel salon pro in grape sorbet, it went on really well and still looks good now. I'm normally chipping and flaking within the day so 24 hours is good for me! Maybe it's a sign I need to go through my polishes and clear out some of the old cheap ones.
