Hah, VALM, I really LOLed at your Pulp Fiction reference :D I hope the Shimmer Brick has been returned to its rightful home!

I only have three ES palettes; MUA Undress Me Too, Sleek Storm and the recent L'Oreal Rose Nude one. For whatever reason, I am usually more drawn to single/duo/quad ESs than big palettes, maybe I find it easier to justify a couple of quid here, a fiver there, rather than spending £30 in a oner?! I was watching a Pan That Palette video on YouTube and the girl (Kitty Blackadder, maybe?) said she has SEVENTY FIVE palettes  Even if she uses up three a year, which is probably not doable unless you cover your whole face in shadow(!) she has enough stashed to last her twenty five years! _pale_ Part of the reason I really want to PtP is to see just how long it takes me to get through things; that way if I do make a purchase I will do so with full knowledge of how long it's going to be hanging around!

I have only UU toothpaste so far this month, which I won't declare as it was a one IN one OUT jobbie.

    Hi ladies,

I'm still here, lurking about :rotfl: need to get back into posting my ins and UU again.

I too was tempted by the Caroline Hirons box until she revealed the price  as another poster said (sorry can't remember who), I would prefer to try samples of a product to see if it suits my skin. That said, I am sure the box will be good value for the products that are in there but it is massively out of my budget. The Sunday Riley products do sound amazing but I can't bring myself to spend that much on 1 product. I would like to try the Estee Lauder serum that is often raved about but I think it is about £70 for a bottle?! I can see the argument of investing in skincare but I can't justify doing that at the moment.

I too have bought the In Style mag for the Clinique serum - will see how I get on.

Loving reading about the make up panning and eye shadow palette stashes. I have a huge eyeshadow palette stash and have a whole draw full of them  I want to start trying to pan them but have had an eye infection for weeks which means I haven't been able to wear make up  I don't think I have ever hit pan on an eyeshadow or used a lipstick up

I have couple of items gone

Estee Lauder Senseous perfume. I love this and would buy again but I have others to use first.

Tresemme Keratin Smooth Heat Protect Spray - it is okay I guess. I have another one. Both were freebies.

Babyliss Body lotion - very light texture, not bad but WNBA.

Nivea 10 Body/Cellulite Gel - nice one. Not sticky. I have some other body products but might buy again if I need.

Rimmel 60 Sec Delicious Dark - donated to charity as it is never opened and too dark for my taste. I'm also horrible at painting my nails properly so prefer lighter colors :P

Maybelline Forever Strong-Vrai Rose - lovely colour. Was off unfortunately. TA.

Essie Nice is Nice, was a freebie, never my sort of colour. Was off. TA.

Rimmel 60 sec At Ease, didn't really like it and used half and TA.

Ciate Mini Twed & Talls TA - gone off as well.

I have 7 Ciate Minis and I'm planning to sell them. No way I will use them and most are pearls and sequins anyway.

In addition, we will have a toiletry/sanitary product drive at work so I'm looking for charities around Manchester and number of places at North West that are accepting toiletries.
If you are in/near Liverpool The Whitechapel Centre (running facilities where people have shower and wash their clothes), Coffee4Craig in Manchester, Mustard Tree again in Manchester are again happy to accept donations.

This is such a great idea :)

Hi KT2802! It's lovely to see you :) It was me that said I'd prefer to try samples than spend that much money on untested fullsize products. I'm still curious to see what's in the box though :rotfl: I hope your eye infection heals quickly.

VALM - I have quite a few palettes. When I cancelled my Birchbox sub I used my points to buy the Stila In The Light palette. I absolutely love it :D Way back when I bought two of the Urban Decay Book Of Shadows. (Before the first Naked palette! :rotfl:) I have depotted these in the hope that it will help me use them more often (the palette packaging was massive and awkward). I also have the UD 15th Anniversary palette which is in my monthly make up box as I need to enjoy/use it more :) I also have the Sleek Storm palette, which is lovely. I have one Make Up Revolution palette in Smoky Romantic. The quality is really good (I prefer it to the MUA palette I have but that is partly colour preference...) I have a few other palettes but they are mixed (lip. cheek and eye). I have a couple of Laura Mercier ones, a Dior one and a very old Benefit Dallas set. I used to only really buy palettes as it was (to me) a good way of trying a few different products from one brand and usually at a good saving. I'd consciously save up for the Urban Decay ones :) I don't have any of the Naked palettes though - they never looked exciting enough after the earlier Book of Shadows :rotfl:

Right. I have some UUs and some TAs...

    The TAs are

Jemma Kidd I-Glamour in black - this was a mag freebie. It has completely dried out! I kept sharpening it and it just crumbled into nothingness. Not v impressed.

Ciate Lash Lights in Famous - this was in an earlier British Beauty Blogger box. The formula is great - really pigmented. Sadly the colour (bright pink!) looked dreadful on me.

    The UUs

Crabtree and Evelyn 'Evelyn Rose' EDP rollerball. This was a pink candle item (they reformulated and ruined it) but it was beginning to go off so I used it up pronto. I saw a YouTube video that showed that you could unscrew the casing on most rollerball perfumes and refill with something else. Really useful info! :D

Sanctuary Spa Cocooning Body Butter (50ml) - WBA in the future. Lovely formula, really comforting scent.

Aromatherapy Associates Revive Morning Bath Oil (3ml) - WNBA in this scent.

I've been sorting through my stash a bit more today and have lined up more things to be added to my PP list. I went home last week and collected up all my products into one place. It wasn't quite as bad as I feared but it was pretty startling! I'm trying not to think about it too much and just carry on with what I can see here :rotfl:

    Thanks Willowbee.

Caroline Hirons has put up a video showing what is in the box now. Was interesting to see - can't believe that the whole box is worth £240, am shocked at how expensive those products must be. I am not overly impressed to be honest so will definitely not be purchasing.

Willowbee - I have the Stila In the Light palette too - it is really lovely. I also have the little mini palettes they brought out recently with a girl on the front, there are 3 of them one is called The Natural, one called Dare to Bare and there is another too - these are gorgeous.

KT2802 - I know plenty of older ladies with gorgeous skin who have had a very simple skin care routine, I think genes are the main factor and spending crazy money like Caroline Hirons does won't change that. When I get my stash whittled down I intend to have a very pared back approach to skincare.

    Got L'occitane freebie :
    L'occitaine Verbena Leaf Soap 25g
    L'occitaine Verbena Shower Gel 30ml
    L'occitaine Verbena Body Lotion 30ml
L'occitaine Cherry Blossom Hand Cream 10ml
L'occitaine Shea butter Foot Cream 10m

Using Cherry Blossom hand cream now and it is okay but don't think I'd pay full price for it.

No such luck re: the shimmerbrick. Looks like it has been officially rehomed! Will look out for Kitty Blackadder (love that name).

I don't think I have ever used any make up products up entirely with the exception of Benefit Lemon Aid which is a HG for me. Other products I tend to get fed up with or they dry up and have to be TA.

I think the Revolution one is better quality than the MUA one I have and maybe this is because I have wet the MUA ones in the past to use as liner?? My Benefit Dallas powder will be the next item for me to UU as I have also hit pan on that.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

I've just swatched a few shades from each palette and the MUR ones seem softer than the MUA ones. I think with both brands the shimmers are beautifully soft but the mattes aren't as good (this seems to be a common problem). I got the MUA Immaculate Collection as a freebie but I never reach for it as the colours are so jumbled it just defeats me! I have the MUA 'Smokin Eye Palette' that looks perfect (5 neutral mattes, 5 jewel toned shimmers) and I'm going to put that with my UD palette so I can try it out properly. My favourite is definitely the MUR Redemption Palette in Romantic Smoked though. It's beautiful and there is one shade that I'd re-buy the whole palette for! :rotfl:

Did you hear the rumour about Dallas being discontinued? I almost panic bought one when I first heard that but I've just checked the Debs website and it's still there...
