    Hi All,

Just a quick post to claim my first SFD.

I was planning on adding my motivation and budgets etc today but iPad is about to die - need to remember to charge it up during the day if I use it a lot - so will post these tomorrow.

    Hello :)

Not an NSD day today for me and a waste of money too. I frittered, although thankfully I didn't fritter a lot.

My motivation - to be mortgage free. Mr Me has now been made redundant twice in three months and I feel less secure than ever. We get married next week and we have a shared goal to get shot of our mortgage as quickly as possible.

My budget is set, most of the figures don't change each month and I have overestimated some of the figures as they're based on a normal month. Eg, normally, I spend £60-75 on petrol a month (work every day, plus we just use my car on the weekend). We're on honeymoon ten days this month so petrol will be down. As usual, underspend will be saved.

Will be back tomorrow with my budget and the answer to the next question on that list - have a lovely evening everyone :)

I claim my first NSD, 19 more to go!

I have discovered that my local coop do their reductions at aboit 9am - weird. So I've started popping down'there on a friday. Just fruit + veg, and ONLY if prices make it cheaper than aldee.

I have moved today. Am at the tail end of a wearisome cold, but have done my 10k steps.

Today I am grateful for a bracing wind, for the brickwork pattern in a wall I often pass, for dd,s bread arriving at the chemist, for the apple blossom looking gorgeous, for being paid back money that I had completely forgotten was owed to me.

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Hey All
Just a quick check in from me.
Personal SFD of the month 1/20
Paid £130 to the great debt god.
1 month to go till I max out my emergency fund
Have so far paid myself £764 from my wobbly little business. And a lady popped in to book a party today that will work out around £200 extra revenue. So looking good for a full months salary this month.

Sorry to read and run but very hectic day and need a hot bath.

    Night all

    MessyMare :j:j:j:j Yay a wedding!! :D:D Congratulations!

academiablues I highly recommend you check out 'Walk Off The Earth' on youtube if you have not heard of them. 'Speeches' is a great song and a moving video. They do some amazing covers of other songs and they are quite the instrument heads... All of them can play multiple instruments, incredibly... including colanders and a necklace made of spoons (yes genuinely). They are just fab and lovely people to boot :) I've got their last album and love it :)

    On to me.

No SFD here as I have got a diet meal plan starting tomorrow that I needed countless things for. Have been to Mr L and got a good portion then topped up in Mr S on the way home. I need to put it into categories as got some toothpaste and some hand wash for MIL in there. Needless to say though, a good portion of my personal diet food budget is gone!!

Have a lovely night all xxx

Ekkk just seen the rules and need to post before I fall asleep! If I'd read them earlier, I wouldn't have had fish and chips for tea! Spendy day here on fish and chips for tea - my major expense is still takeaway, I need to address this.

Be back tomorrow with my goals etc. night all

Apple and Lilt - thank you! The other exciting thing (and overwhelming and lovely) is that work had a whip round and raised about £200 to send us into married life with! I thought nobody liked me :) they gave us £100 cash, £50 voucher, a gift, and a big bunch of florist flowers. Our wedding is diddy small (us, my parents, and my sister and brother in law are having a meal with us after) so there won't be any presents really, and I'm happy with that - our wedding is about getting married rather than generating funds or presents which makes the unexpected gift from work even better! New kitchen floor here I come!

So, onto Money. My budget is as follows:

Household - £265 (covers council tax, water rates, electricity, saving for the tv license and home/contents insurance)
Groceries - £250 (I always budget as if it is a five week month so if I see anything good I can build up my store cupboard)
Petrol - £75 (over budgeted for this month but I want to fill my car up as mum will be using it while we're on honeymoon and her car is being repaired, so it will come back with a full tank)
Pets - £50 (more than covers Millie's food, also covers worming and flea prevention and the rest is saved for unforeseen circumstances. Raaffi's bills are covered by the RGT as he's a long term foster dog)
Presents - £50 (covers all birthdays, cards, anniversaries, and Christmas when it comes around)
Landline - £33 (but switched to a better deal so should be £26, just budgeted for the higher amount in case of glitches)
Mobile - £29 (I know, I know. Going Sim Only in July)
    Spends - £40 (£20 a week when we're not on honeymoon)
Honeymoon - £350 (£20 max a night for Motorhome plot, £150 spends to cover anything else)

I think this is everything. I've put £120 into savings this month (my month runs from 22nd April - 22nd May) but I'm hoping to get up to 70% of my first savings goal by then and need to find an extra £60 to do so.

Also, it annoys me that my month runs weirdly, so I'm aiming to have 10 NSD at the end of this month so I can carry the money over to the 1st June, if that makes sense!
    Sorry for the waffle there!
