Nail Tech Has Wrecked My Nails

I knocked my left index finger and it bled so have now got a plaster on it. They are also so soft and tender that even when I went to scratch an itch on my forehead, it hurt.
Here are the rest of the pics.

Thanks for all of the messages! Lesson definitely learned in this corner and I hope this stops someone else who might make a similar mistake!x0

There's lifting on your nails as well.
Have you ever had any lifting before? Can be caused by systemic illness or just knocking them?
If not, it's due to either knocking them when having the nails on or - more likely - the friction and see-sawing motion when they were being filed off. You can actually pull the nail plate off the bed by being too aggressive!
Just again, keep them as short as you possibly can, and keep them oiled

What's lifting? I am not sure if I have had that before!
I do have ME and had low iron and practically non existent vit d levels recently..I imagine this won't help! It affects my hair, as in it goes really dry where it never used to.0 -
Hi. You can start taking hair, skin and nail vitamins (sold at more super centers and walgreens). They work great. I've been getting my nails done since middle school. The vitamins makes them stronger. I'm not sure if you are one to get them done frequently but if so stay consistent with the vitamins and you can tell the difference. Also another way to help your nails is to soak the gel or whatever else you wear off. Pealing your gel or popping off your false nails damages the nails more. Hope this helps hun.0

Hey Anoneemoose, how have your nails been? Hope there's been an improvement in the last few weeks and you're starting to feel better.
Please let us know, I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering.
