I know that feeling EE - waiting for pay day and it is 3 weeks away!! Not sure what has happened this month. Although have had car tax, boiler service and some expenses for daughter in region of £120. Have paid cash though so although tight still step in the right direction :)

On that note a timid 20p to TSB please

Really late update as I've had a manically busy day. Did make a PAD though of £4.75 from my account to the 'freedom' savings account.
Now stands on day 4 at £31.77/£500
  • Good morning fellow PADders :hello:

    Hi everyone :)
My first time posting on the MSE forum but I have been lurking behind the scenes for some time. Have found some real inspiration for the things I've read, so thank you to everyone for sharing.
Have decided it's definitely time to knuckle down and do something to sort my debts once and for all.
I'm planning on starting a diary but for now I would like to join this thread if that's ok?
My husband and I have 3 current accounts between us (one each plus a joint one) so my plan is to balance each down every day to the nearest £10 by transferring the excess into a savings account. Over the next 12 months I'm going to try and reduce my debt by using the snowball method and by making some full and final settlement offers.
First savings goal using a payment a day is to save £500 to make my first offer.
Today I transferred £5.60 from my husbands account, £1.98 from my account and 33p from our joint account.
    Total on day 1 = £7.91/£500

I have found this is one of the friendliest threads on the whole board! Hence I'm still here even though am debt free :)

    So a huge

    WELCOME!!!

Only rule here is once you join you can't leave :rotfl:

Totally addictive but in a good way

Have you looked at the debt snowball (I can link it if you'd like?)....no bother if I'm poking my nose in where it's not wanted (apologies)

Och and another of my mantras for you as you join tis not going down that's the crime (or getting into debt) - but staying down (i.e not having your light bulb moment!)

    Welcome :D

  • Hi all

23.71 to my credit card and very painful it was too but it will get easier I'm sure. It's not like it was my money in the first place.
