  • Hi everyone :)
My first time posting on the MSE forum but I have been lurking behind the scenes for some time. Have found some real inspiration for the things I've read, so thank you to everyone for sharing.
Have decided it's definitely time to knuckle down and do something to sort my debts once and for all.
I'm planning on starting a diary but for now I would like to join this thread if that's ok?
My husband and I have 3 current accounts between us (one each plus a joint one) so my plan is to balance each down every day to the nearest £10 by transferring the excess into a savings account. Over the next 12 months I'm going to try and reduce my debt by using the snowball method and by making some full and final settlement offers.
First savings goal using a payment a day is to save £500 to make my first offer.
Today I transferred £5.60 from my husbands account, £1.98 from my account and 33p from our joint account.
    Total on day 1 = £7.91/£500
