    Hi all!

Squeezing a PAD in after getting back from the parents:

    £2.52 to MBNA please Dizzy
Let’s just pretend I have not been alternately drowning in debt or only eating toast to try and pay it off for the last 20 years 😭

    *The principles of PADding*

Emily Hallett started a fantastic thread called 'a payment a day' which you can find via going to this webpage (sorry it won't work for me right now)

The thread is extremely supportive and friendly, with lots of madness and smileys to boot! It is ever increasing, which is why having hit 200 pages, challenge is continuing on a brand new thread.

The principle of the idea is that you pay any extra money you have against a debt to clear it a little bit quicker. Not everyone makes a daily payment, but instead they save money to make a lump sum at the end of the month. You can do it anyway you want to, but join the thread and let us know how you are getting on.

Some PaD-ers have cleared their debts and are now focusing on saving following the same principal, so they still post on the thread. Anyone is welcome to join in at anytime.

    Best wishes to everyone

PS. Here are the rules :D

    *The Rules*
    1) To assist the monthly 'counter-upper' please post your PaD in Bold, colour, large, or all three
    2) Once you join, you cannot leave Banane21.gif

Good morning everyone - if you had snow over the weekend, I hope you enjoyed it! We didn't get any...:(

A big hello to Kimberley :hello: hope you'll be joining us making PADs x

Sunday's total was an impressive £2829.22 (mainly thanks to Igamogam - that must feel great!). That's my new double butler's sink and the oak cupboard it sits on, plus a new flash tap the sprays or "froths" the water. Cheers

Short and sweet today - running late...glad Tiny Sunshine is home, bless him. Hopefully he will get better quickly x Your money tin idea is genius rsdiscos - will your son actually put anything in it?

My PAD is £8.11 bank skim :)

Bought one of those fancy coffee machines today with some Christmas money - not very Money Saving I know, but it was £40 instead of £100!

Son number 1 wantedsome of the sachet things, so I bought them and put a tin next to the machine to get the money back! Now that bit is Money Saving!!! lol!!!

Google the make and model and see if you can get compatible or reusable pods/sachet things? Will save you a fortune!!! :money:

Treats are so allowed on here - especially in the sales. I'm the girl who whilst debt busting bought a macbook (£800) on HP because I was too paranoid to use windows any more and my netbook had had it LOL...also when almost debt free I bought a kenwood in the sales (£300 but £200 off). Worse thing about the kenwood was it was raining and was so heavy I couldn't carry it for a 10 minute walk home and I couldn't carry it back to the shop either so I had to order a taxi! :rotfl:

But you can save a few pennies on this coffee machine and if it means you will have less coffees out in caf!s it is soooooo worth it! :T - that's how I justify my espresso machine (refurbished - £40 as well rather than £60+) - so we'll have no beating yourself up for the coffee machine :D

I was in my bed most of yesterday with labyrinthitis - pants - so I don't know if it snowed or not...

Of course it's treat (more like fixation LOL) season. After the whoopsie hoover that didn't work I wasn't going to do that again. Choice of £90 hifi (on sale) in the shop or £10 (plus £12 for aerial and fm transmitter for internet radio in multiple rooms) from classified. I am very happy with my £10 spent. Only downside is no mute on it. Minor - it has auto reverse on my tape deck :j

    Happy days

    and now
