I forgot to make a PAD yesterday  I had an horrendous day - ended up drinking an entire bottle of wine once DH arrived home and feel utterly pants today...

£5.83 today please Bob. Eeking out the pennies until hubby gets paid now.

Dizzy - Sorry to hear you had a bad head. Were you celebrating something or just one of those times when the wine goes down to well?:(

Double pad today another £9.92 to EF please bob.

EF now at a nice £500 pound, I've never ever had this amount of money as a back up. Kirstypoos I've gone all out to put this away to the detriment of paying off the debt, now I know if anything happens emergency wise I should have it covered.
I'm thinking of putting it in premium bonds where I can't access it to buy stupid things or at least in my works credit union saving account where I have to email them to get it and it takes 3 days for them to pay it into my bank. This way it will stay there until I really need it.:beer::beer::beer::beer::beer:

Ditto - when I first started on my DF journey I did a little Dave Ramsey (like MSE but US based) and the first thing he said to do was get an emergency fund - even before beginning to pay off debts!!! I duly obliged. Second step was pay of CC's. then I stalled :(. Not had a credit card for years now (check if they charge you even if the balance is zero) and don't miss it :j

So yeah choice of beginning to pay off debts or EF - EF first! Debts second :)

Hope that helps? Hugs regardless - sorry if not :( (tell me where to shove my derriere)

Just drowning my sorrows - didn't work... :(
Anyway, used the left-over wine making tomato and onion chutney yesterday. It made the tastiest chutney I've eaten in ages!

£1.22 for me today Bob please x

  • Good morning everyone :)

A PAD of £23.01 to cc please Bob, thank you.

I have very little in my EF I really want to get rid of one of my credit cards in December before I start paying interest, you have given me food for thought maybe I should accept that I will pay a bit of interest and build my EF it's hard as you just want the debt gone as soon as possible. Well done Milky and Erme you are both an inspiration :j:j

Have a great Saturday everyone :)
