I'm glad to contribute as well as boycotting any PE 'managed' car parks.
Must have cost my local Morrison's dearly already!

...always ensuring that we let the retailers at those locations know exactly why their premises are not being visited.

Our local, large Tesco allowed a PPC (Highview) to ply their trade very nearly 6 years ago. I have not been to that Tescos since and told the manager at the time why I would not be back. Highview lasted, I think, around a year before being given the order of the Spanish archer.

Strangely, our local Morrisons have never allowed a PPC onto their car park. This is despite the fact that it is not large, is on an extremely busy site shared with other outlets and is immediately adjacent to the largest employer in town. It has never suffered the sort of terminal meltdown the BPA would have us believe is the inevitable consequence of failing to use their members "services".

The nearest Asda uses not-Smart but only on their disabled and P&C spaces and so the only supermarket in town using a PPC - nominally - is Lidl (and its not PE anyway).

In nearby towns none of the supermarkets now use a PPC and yet its entirely possible to park in them with ease even in one that is virtually next door to a busy commuter railway station. Why might that be?

Might that be because the line that PPC's prevent "carmageddon" is little more that a convenient fiction peddled by those with their snouts in the trough?
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

Indeed and the campaign now appears on the Indiegogo Trending page (even if its at the bottom).

I'm in 60% now, lets hope the DM or the like pick this up and run with it.

One thing I'm sure of is all this will make more people aware of these charges, and hopefully avoid the car parks or make sure they don't break the conditions.

Especially were PE are concerned where you can abuse a landowners car park as much as you like as long as you arrive and depart within the time limits.

    £3,700 in 22 hours.

And someone's torn down the BPA website.

Methinks a genie is out of the bottle that will be rather hard to get back in again.

62 per cent in less than 24 hours is incredible.

Mr. Beavis cannot be the lumpen oaf which some would make out. With the Mail and the CA on board, plus a batch of new MPs looking for a hobby horse, things are not looking so rosy for the PPCs.
