urgent zzps debt collector letter

please someone help urgent. My silly son has ignored several zzps letter now amounting to a recovery of 700 + we fouund out today several pcn. I made him phone and ask if they could reduce but they said there was actually more and he could email a letter which they would forward to ELITE MANAGEMENT. What should he do can he do now? If he can send a winning letter please someone paste it up or has he got to try and pay it? Its such a large amount and hes a student. Other friends have said ignore but ive heard the whole household can be blacklisted?? Also i made him phone so hes admitted liability does this matter? they probably record calls? PLEASE HELP URGENT SOMEONE:(

please type zzps and wright hassle into the search box , your biggest mistake was ringing them DO NOT email ring or right till you understand things


also read the newbies stickies (top few posts) on the main parking page


when you have done that , come back and tell us the dates of the tickets , inc each ones notice to keeper letter received , with matching dates , and the company that issued the ticket


however it seems that you have had previous run ins with smart parking , and have had it explained what to do , and the truth about debt collectors


perhaps going back to your previous postings and reading , might have told you how stupid ringing up those muppets was

as its debt collectors, there is nothing URGENT about it , in fact its not urgent at all, its words on toilet paper with no legal backing and nothing they can do apart from harassing you in this way

I agree Red, but the amount suggests there's more than one parking ticket involved here and the PPC might just take a punt at a MCOL.

@OP - the advice to ignore ZZPS is sound (do not phone them again). Debt collectors are powerless in the context of private parking tickets. All they can do is pester you with 'scary' letters or phone calls (and as you've phoned them, it's likely they have your number for future reference). They cannot serve court papers on your son and they cannot 'send the boys around' to your house - call the Police if they do.

It's only Elite Management who can serve court papers. Ordinarily if this was a one-off parking charge, serving court papers would be very unlikely, but as there appears to be a few - amounting to £700 - they could chance their arm.

There is absolutely nothing you can do to kill this off (other than stumping up), that ship sailed each time your son ignored each fresh parking charge. So you have to wait to see what Elite's next move is (not ZZPS).

If Elite (or their solicitors) serve either a Letter Before Action or real court papers (MCOL) via one of the bulk handling centres at Northampton or Salford, do not ignore these. Come back for more advice then.

But that's not silly, of course he can ignore debt collector letters about private parking tickets, it's a perfectly good option people have followed for years if they didn't appeal in time. What ON EARTH possessed you to be so silly as to make him ring them and beg to pay less, before researching this? Wow you are taking them far too seriously!

hi i did have run in for 1 tkt from smart parking at asda couple of years ago and was helped on this website but i cant remeber a thing and i know it may sound stupid but i cant get back on the thread because i dont use this site really! It is my silly son who tells me he has many parking tkts (dont know how many maybe 5/6) and has not told anyone or paid until ive found these couple of letters. over the phone yesterday zzps said he had a total of 780 to py. I have found 3
letters and he may have torn some up.

1st dated 24 march from pcn admin asking for 100
2nd dated 28 march from elite management asking for 100
3rd dated 15 april asking for 344 from zzps on behalf of elite

I have only found 3 of letters. zzps state his total owed is 780 on the 21st april 2015.
please what must we do now. I have told him off about it. we have to act quick. Has he got to pay it because its more than one? please help and i need things explained clear cut. thanks

first 2 are fightable , and are still within the time scales to receive a NTK , why the hell have ZZPS been informed


the 3rd one is a speculative invoice for services and relates to 1 and 2 , one and 2 have broken ATA guidelines , therefor 3 is fake.

The 3 letters you have total £544. If ZZPS state total is £780 how do they arrive at that figure from the £344 stated in the letter from only last week?

Does the 3rd letter have anything at all to do with the first 2 as the first 2 could be standard recent tickets that can be appealed.

Just struggling to understand exactly what is owed to which company?

if the dates are correct (this year) then PCN and elite have broken a lot of rules .

MY son thinks he had a total of 9 parking tickets in total and hasnt
retained any of them. Hes 19 and stupid and hes making me suffer to now. Hes just told me he parked without paying at all( ive had a good go at him for this believe me really he deserved it but when i know hes struggling with finance anyway i feel sorry) anyway please do..nt judge according to this i still need to help him. He walks now instead of using car there. He doesnt have original pcn just a few letters and hes thrown some away. Hes found another one from pcn dated 17 feb
for 100. I dont know what to do. they were all issued at the same car park.HELP PLEASE
