How to get credit report on Debtor

On reflection, there is little point in wasting good money when there is no prospect of recovering the debt. It did occur to me that I could apply to make him bankrupt, but that would cost and would probably have little or no affect on him. I only hope that one day soon, he will swindle the wrong person and that his life becomes less comfortable than it is now. Meanwhile, obviously his lack of conscience will allow him to enjoy the boat he obtained at my expense, but frankly I hope it sinks and he goes down with it.0

If you suspect illegal activity, report it.
If he owns a boat, why not take him to court? A boat isn't classed as a necessity.Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0 -

I appreciate your advice, thank you. but clearly he is well practiced at swindling people and although his scam proceeds have paid for the boat, I think with element of surprise being impossible, he will just hide it somewhere else or sell it on, like he does with everything else.0 -
You can report suspected benefit fraud here : https://www.gov.uk/report-benefit-fraud
And tax fraud here : https://online.hmrc.gov.uk/shortforms/form/TEH_IRF
It may be that nothing comes of it, but it costs you nothing and has got to be worth a punt. He may be able to wriggle out of a private individual chasing him, but if HMRC get on his back there's no hiding0 -

Thank you. I will not rush into things but I am sure that he is bypassing his energy meters, which is criminal and be a priority. Now I have found out that he rents the £400,000 house, there is a good chance he is claiming benefits etc, which are being supplemented by 5/6 lodgers. Also working on gas without a certificate and finally as you have said HMRC. As they say revenge is best served cold and I mean to see that he regrets it.0 -
Perhaps he and the other people in the property are all renting from the owner?
And if he has a low pension and low self-employment income he may be entitled to some benefits.
That said if you report your suspicions and are wrong then there is no harm done.
In terms of the gas situation if you think he is working illegally with gas then I would report him here http://www.gassaferegister.co.uk/help/report_an_illegal_gas_worker.aspxA smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

I'm fairly sure the lodgers are his. The rent must be quite expensive in such a large property with lots a land. Just guessing, but now knowing his character, he wouldn't miss a trick like claiming benefits.0 -
Still take him to court. Get a CCJ against him. Send the bailiffs round. Even if they don't get anything it will be worth the money just to show you aren't rolling over. If he comes into money later on you can try to enforce it again.Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0

I appreciate what you are saying, but is it worth it. I am a pensioner, with severe emphysema, cancerous kidney removed, suspected lung cancer and several other medical problems. Moreover, I don't have the money to waste.0 -
Sorry to say this but I think you should forget it and concentrate on your health (the production of cortisol through stress doesn't help the repair processes even in otherwise healthy people).
He is clearly a seasoned scumbag I think his schemes and nastiness will outwit your lawful attempts, plus it will take too much out of you.
Best of luck with your health.0
