How to get credit report on Debtor

Hello
I could not find a more appropriate forum, so am taking a punt on this one. If I am in the wrong place would someone point me in the right direction please.
I have issued a Letter Before Action giving 14 days notice to settle before I issue a County Court Summons, which has not phased the Debtor one iota. From his attitude I suspect the individual is well acquainted with being sued.
Although, officially retired, he is still actively self employed as a Gas Engineer/Fitter (no certificate) and has several Lodgers, who lucratively supplement his pensions and other incomes. His Lodgers pay for gas and electricity via meters, which I understand he is fraudulently not paying himself and needless to say HMRC are also not aware.
I would appreciate advice please.
How do I obtain a credit report on him please ?
One light a the end of tunnel is that I am fairly sure he owns his own property. How can I find this out please ?
Thanking all who reply in advance.

You cannot obtain a copy of an individual's credit report in the UK.
In terms of his property, if you know the address you can search the Land Registry for that address (£4 I think?) and that will tell you the owners of that property and any charges against the property.
The other thing you can find out is whether he has any CCJs against him in the last 6 years - you can do this by a search of the registry trust for his name/address (cost £8 per search). It will only show any CCJs that were not settled within a month of the judgement date, but it may be of value for you to decide if it is worth you incurring further costs to take court action against him.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

Thank you so much Tixy. I do know his address, so will look on the Land Registry site. I have not heard of the registry trust before and I am grateful for that valuable tip.0 -
I guess it would also make sense to check the insolvency register for any evidence of him being Bankrupt or in an IVA.

Yes, he has two unpaid CCjs (£400 & £1600) dating back from 2012. Stable door and all that.
Insolvency register, another excellent tip, thank you Tixy. I will look into that tomorrow. Just a bit fed up right now.0 -
Changed my mind lol and the insolvency check was so easy. He is not on the list, thank goodness and you Tixy. Just got Land Registry to do, which I will definitely attempt tomorrow.0

Thought I might as well get all the bad news over and done with tonight. He does not own the house, so presumably it is rented.
No property to mention other than an old Range Rover and a Boat, which he bought with the money he conned out of me.
No doubt that will soon be liquidated, leaving nothing.0 -
There are so many people like this around.0

I have checked out his Landlords who I don't think are related. They run a waste collection/knackers yard. I know suspect that he is falsely claiming benefits, despite all his hidden incomes, especially the illegitimate ones.0
