I don't know if anyone has noticed, but EE stores are very few and far between, the nearest one to me is 40 miles away in York, I went there last week, the que stretched for 500 yards.

I tried again today, I was in Sheffield for the snooker, same story, Hugh que, had to leave to catch my train, not a happy bunny, why can't they post them out to people ?

Not everyone lives near one of there shops.

What about the people who sent a couple of messages last week and got no reply?

Why is everyone going crazy over these - they're nothing new.

I've had a similar thing for years that runs off an AAA battery, looks the same as the EE ones though, just black.

ONE AAA battery? If just one, then, at a nominal 1000 mAh at 1.5 volts, you have approximately 12% of the "power" of these. Chalk and cheese!
I don't know why people are going crazy for them, though.

Sent a txt from each of my EE phones but only got a code back for one of them. I presume my 35p has gone to help pay for power bars!

have you read the Ts & Cs of the offer? Do you really want one, or really need one?
Is there an EE shop close enough or convenient enough to warrant carrying around a flat charger in the hope of passing an EE store to exchange it for a full one? Are you really going to allow your phone to go flat during the day without having the means to charge it (at work for instance)
I think a lot of people have just thought..freebie...without thinking about the logistics of carrying one of these things around with them.
  • How annoying. Sent the text at about 7am on 16th and received a Thanks for your text but it launches on 16th reply! went in to store on 17th but none left.

I noticed the EE shop was empty again at lunchtime and they still have them in stock. I guess they must have none at all left back at EE HQ. No doubt there is a container full on a ship departing from China. You'd have thought they would have been a bit better prepared logistically.
