Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.

Not sure how that can be done with a UK plate.

    Agree.
    Maybe L311 OFF?

My personal favourite one seen was FU 2 on a roller a few years ago.
  • The best plate I have ever seen on a car was in London many years ago - 1UP. Surely you can't beat that unless you have 2UP?

My own plate reads my surname with a 5 representing an E. :)

  • I saw one yesterday All ATE then some name of a restaurant underneath e.g. All ate at Marlon's.

Haven't checked if it was actually A11 ATE or if it was just a dodgy misspelled/misspaced plate.

Saw a green Lambo a few years back in the Harrow area: W888SHH (or perhaps W800SHH).
  • Good one I saw the other month on an SL65 AMG was:

    V12 0MY

Also there is a photo on the internet of a Rolls Royce Drop Head coupe with:

    DR09 HED

See these things are mainly lost on me as I read them too literally so didn't get the R SOAL one at all as I read R S O Four L.

I don't find most personalised plates quite puzzling and wonder why they have bothered.

there was an idiot i know who went to Argentina with H982 FKL. Swears it was not the reference to 1982 Falklands - just coincidental.

Local to me, a Renault van belonging to a bed shop with D1VAN. And the local Jaguar dealer had one with B16 CAT (apparently a promotional vehicle that does the rounds of the dealerships).

I'm with Plymouth Maid here - if you have to pretend a 3 is an E or a 4 is an A, then it doesn't really say what you think it does.
If someone is nice to you but rude to the waiter, they are not a nice person.
