Hope you found a fantastic outfit to wear. I would love to go to a mendhi party.
I have been to a muslim/Irish Catholic wedding years ago that was all sorts of chaosRecently married and loving it x0 -
All of my colleagues (there were about 9 of us) went to an Asian shop and bought Asian outfits. They were fabulous. So bright and colourful (and oh my days - soooo comfortable to wear lol), and the bride told us how much she appreciated us going to that amount of effort.
The food was wonderful - and plenty of it. They were constantly bringing plates and bowls of it to the tables and there were plenty of (soft) drinks available.
The bride looked stunningly spectacular. We were all very concerned that when she came into the room to be joined with her husband and to cut the cake, she had her eyes lowered and looked VERY solemn. We all thought she was unhappy, but we were assured by others at the wedding that the bride and groom are supposed to look solemn, in acknowledgement of the seriousness of the occasion.
Both the bride and groom are from large families and so the photographs took forever lol. But the families looked fabulous. I just love the colour and the spectacle of the whole day.0
