It doesn't look that way to me. Silver car is just passing on news in my view.

I do hope that this is all going to stop. For days now all you have done is winge and bemoan the fact that not everyone agrees with you. Well guess what, I don't agree either and I'm only here to talk prices and fill my trolley.

How you feeling today Mrs. Hoping the days are healing you quickly.

Im half revising half working :o

You don't agree with me even though I've backed up my claims and other people have came out of the woodwork to confirm what I've said too?

You used to be one of the ones on here that I liked too. :(

I liked you too and haven't said that I no longer like you. What I don't like is the political crusade on the thread. This isn't the right place for it and it's obvious that I'm not alone in how I feel and think.

If you want to talk politics, let's take to The Arms, a much better place for discussing politics whatever ones ideas are.
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.

That is worrying for you all. Why do problems always come at the same time? I wish them well.

OK enough now of this sort of thing.

If you look at the Feb 1974 election, Labour got in with 301 seats, against the Tories 296 seats. Yet Labour only got 37.1% of the vote compared to the Tories 37.9%.

    Source - http://www.ukpolitical.info/Historical.htm

Yes, the Tories actually got more votes in that election, but less seats so didn't get into power.

So where were all the Labour supporters that time saying let the Tories have the power in that election because they got more votes ?

The bottom line is that the Conservative got more votes and more seats in the House than any other individual party. Less people voted individually for Labour, SNP, LibDems, UKIP etc.

Therefore the Conservatives are in power.

You have to accept that under the current system, the Conservative have legitimately got into power, with a majority in the House. Unless something drastic happens, they are in power for the next 5 years.

If you really don't like it, leave the country and go somewhere else.

Otherwise, accept it and hope that in 5 years time, enough people can be persuaded in your way of thinking to not vote the Conservatives back in.

    This is called Democracy !

Now, can we all draw a line under this and return to Money Saving ?

Out of interest ... if you get an electrical item from T and get DTD due to an overcharge, and it then becomes faulty, is it the original value that should be used for calculating the "worth" of the product, the selling price at the time, or the price after DTD has been applied?

I have a TV that has broken over a year since purchase which I understand from reading online should still be covered beyond the one year warranty due to EU regulations up to two years, but I wondered what is reasonable to expect if T will not repair ...?

    Many thanks

I would say the original price is the relevant one for the 'worth' of the product.

The DTD is a separate matter that Tesco offer "in addition to your statutory rights" for incorrectly advertising the price on the SEL, and bears no relevance to the actual price paid for the item.

I find it sad that people dislike others just because of their political views.

I also find it sad that you can't see that the country have chosen to vote in a conservative government. That means that a lot of people see them as the best people to run the country.

    Roll on the next thread.

In the past 24 hours alone more people have came out of the woodwork and sided with me.

No point. I said in a previous post that it was my last on politics. I also have a sneaky feeling that I won't be here for very much longer anyway.
