Thank you.
So do we think the value is the original price on the SEL, or original as in the price I paid (before getting the DTD refund)? I see the "in addition to your statutory rights" but wondered if my statutory rights were to pay what it said on the SEL, so in reality the SEL price is the one I can hold them to? I know I cannot have it both ways - claim DTD as I paid more than the advertised price, but then expect them to use the original price paid/on the receipt (rather than the SEL) as the basis for "value".
Wonders out loud what their computer system shows from the receipt nuimber ...
Sorry for all the questions, just wondering how far to push it.
Many thanks

Forget the DTD, that is a separate transaction in my mind.
You have the right to a replacement TV of the same features etc as the one that is faulty. So the cost of that, which would be the price on the receipt. (The fact you wouldn't have bought it at that price is irrelevant, someone else may happily have paid that price.)
I'm not convinced that you are entitled to a full refund after a year. Happy to be corrected, but I thought that they could exchange it for a refurbished model after such a time.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee can this election talk end now. whats done is done people made their choices whether we agree or disagree its over.
Exactly - there are far more focused threads on politics that would welcome the discussions but on this thread and dragging onwards day after day, its distracting from our main aims
I've just popped in to see if anyone knows if the APG machine is fixed - not
To see if the politics discussion has gone - no
so I'll go and do something useful then“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

Your receipt would show the overpriced figure you originally paid, not the correct SEL figure that has generated the DTD.
The DTD is dealt with separately, although the receipt may be marked to show it.
Worst case, I would say the 'correct' price would prevail, ie the one you should have paid in the first place (the SEL price). The extra 'Double' bit of the DTD, as Silvercar says, is a 'marketing' bonus.0 -
Had a read back for a quick catch up, think I'll go back to lurking.
Now I fancy baked spuds with beans and cheese for dinner!Historic Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!
Mortgage started June 2015 = £170,000 January 2022 = £134,000
Saving for Xmas 2022= . . Amazon £55

Changing the subject, this week is mental health awareness week. I know some people on here have suffered- either themselves or family members.
Here is a very apt cartoon I saw:I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. The reason Labour didnt win is because no one could picture Ed as PM. End of.
You weigh up the options and decide that you dont want someone to lead the country who is prepared to chuck his brother under a bus to lead. Labour lost that election when they let the Unions vote in Ed.
Give people a decent leader and votes will follow - Hence why Tony won.
And lets be honest, this term will be needing more cuts, and anti govt sentiment will rise, so your probably better building for the next five years and focussing on the next election, because there is absolutely nothing you can do about it anyway!0 -
So ends my one and only political post on here.0
