I don't know - it could have been two separate unrelated complaints and a situation that we were given no context. So, I don't know if I've misread it or not - I thought there were other possibilities and went for one that it might mean.
If it means no air conditioning outside, in the open air, though then clearly that's a silly complaint! What - that the atmosphere, of the open air, is too stuffy?:rotfl::rotfl:
EDIT: Just to clarify - in fact I didn't think of it meaning no air conditioning outside as I thought that was so silly and stupid that they could not have possibly meant that. If they did though then, :doh:that's why it's a silly complaint!:rotfl:
I wonder if they were queuing up in a very hot country savvy with no where to stand in the shade to be cooler while queuing!0 -
:eek::eek: Just looked the price of these up I got for £1 (short dated):eek::eek:

Afternoon peeps.
Remember a few weeks ago that you could get a Pepsi max cherry bottle with a personalised picture on it? I was waiting for one with my dogs on it!
Note to self... DON'T order one when you've had a drink! :eek:0 -
Heads up for the very early shoppers on THURSDAY morning. Potentially nip in and grab two boxes of Magnums Mini at 2 for £5. Pre multis they should compare £3.89 v £2 each returning £4.18, meaning each box would cost 41p.
Check the flavours first on msm, I think three of the four should be fine A v T and a couple A v M.0 -
I definitely think they may be some missing trigger to the 1L Robinsons (that are 74p in M) as there are lots of those new Kids Dilute ones - however, unfortunately, the mbuy "saving" isn't that great so does not make sense - as 2 for £2.50:eek: (another overpayment on each one compared to Morries) vs 74p each would give more back than £1.49 on one only vs 74p. If the individual price were much closer to £2.50 then it would be much better!!
These were 89p in A last time I think. Yet again another mbuy trick! Mbuy now is more expensive than the previous individual price and current individual price now vastly increased!
Every single one of them (except possibly the 5 for £1 sweets?) - the mbuy deals are all more expensive than previous pricing! Such that it is misleading IMO to claim that there is a "saving" from buying the mbuy at all - and therefore I've put the word "saving" at the start of this post in quotation marks, as it isn't one. It does not save anything at all when it would have been saving money to have bought at the previous 89p for one. The mbuy therefore now has people spending, not saving, more money compared to before. (Except that the really savvy consumer may save more by buying now - and just one bottle only - if they get a comparison against M's 74p and 10% cheaper - as that's cheaper than previous price. Although then they do their old trick again by requiring at least 7 other different items to be bought and getting people buying more again! Everything they do...it's trying to get us to buy more and therefore spend more, whilst claiming that we are saving money on it.)
This thing with mbuys is not just confined to this country - they do it in America as well. It's well known to the industry that people will buy more if it's on an mbuy and pay more for each one:
See point number 11 at http://consumerist.com/2014/01/23/17-supermarket-tricks-tips-and-insider-secrets-youre-probably-clueless-about/
10 for $10? In other words $1 each, compared to, of course, he doesn't mean 6 for 89p but 6 for 89p each. I think this may have fallen into the advertiser's mindset there of wording things to imply they are less cost than in fact they are - a little telling, to me, that the word "each" appears to me to have been forgotten about! A bit like saying premium-rate phone lines cost "70p at other times" instead of "70p per minute at other times".
So, at 10 for $10 compared to one for 89p before, people are prepared to pay 11p extra for each one and then to buy in tenfold!:wall::rotfl::rotfl:
Beware the mbuy trick - virtually every mbuy, if not every mbuy, is a more expensive price than the price was before. (I have a couple of examples from M yesterday, which I might get round to mentioning later today.) And it's because people generally only remember the prices of about four items again.0 -
Oh my goodness I got these for 50p pack too. :T Thought would be good for DD1 to have for Teeny.

Again these were not short dated so you may be lucky to find them RTC in a small store or I guess any Boots if you are passing but I would not make a special trip as clearance items can vary from store to store I seem to have more luck for bargains in the small shops not in town centres.0 -
Still here, I in the doghouse with dh:eek: now. With only a day to go I should stick it out. Maybe I should, they are now saying that I can maybe go this afternoon if I can do the stairs. Confuseddotcom
How do I know when I've gone too far, told dh he needed to ring hospital to see what's going on about going today or tomorrow, he hasn't so I told him not to bother visiting today, he can't drive anyway so can't take me home, oh well never mind, with luck ds3 will visit, he has a car
Thanks for the 'pep talks' last night and the good wishes of today also, I've missed you lot such a lot, crazy isn't it . Yes it is :rotfl:
A week without a ciggie, no ecigarette, no patches nothing
Off for catch up x
Sorry it's been so crap for youone way or the other, you'll be home soon
And :T on the fags too :T when I was in for big gynae surgery, I was taking my drip stand and huge stomach outside for a fag:rotfl::rotfl:
I remember my dad finishing work and rushing to see me. He arrived 5 minutes after visiting hours finished and they wouldn't let him in. I bawled and bawled my eyes out and, with that and the other three ladies on my ward siding with me, they soon relented and let him inI still don't know where those tears came from, I remember it was the day after my surgery and they wanted to send me home because they wanted my bed, but I clearly wasnt well enough to go home
