Good Morning Elite. Had a bad night last night. When I started feeling a little light headed and sickly around 10.30/11pm. Several incidences of vomiting and I got to bed at 1.30/2 am and got to sleep around 3am. This always happens, about once or twice a month, when I forget to take my morning meds. It is the venlafaxine that is the culprit. I am told that it is the worst antidepressant to cause such immediate withdrawal symptoms, so really should take more care, but, hey, that's all part of the depression it treats really :o
    Morning :)
Feeling much happier after a cruddy weekend... My little pupster was involved in a freak accident at the weekend and we thought we were going to lose her but thank god after staying in doggy hospital for a couple days she is being allowed home and no massive injuries but bruised and shaky , feeling relieved :)

oh poor pupster, hope she is OK x

This is the sort my Mam had in the end-of-life unit she was in, it was fantastic as she couldn't keep herself upright in her chair, kept slipping down, but the way this raised her knees it kept her in place/ and they could wheel her into the dining room or lounge in it - when they could be bothered that is :(

Good morning all, lovely day here again :D

ilovetoshop, I always have a chuckle when I read that list. It reminds me of when we were in Jamaica, we did Dunns Falls, and one of the people in the party said that they didn't realise that a waterfall would actually have water in it, and that we would have to climb through, horror of horrors, water coming down :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Now this has been resolved I will say for anyone else reading that there are many reasons why the insurance company could legitimately have refused this. One of the exclusions is when a person is drunk, she openly admitted to being drunk in one of the previous write ups. It is very harsh as many like to get drunk whilst abroad, but it is worth bearing in mind that insurance companies do have exclusions like that to avoid you endangering yourself, normally includes things like paragliding, getting drunk and generally being silly and taking very unnecessary risks. That is also why there are extra parts to insurance policies for high--risk sports etc.

Altojack, hope you are feeling better today. Have to say in contrast that my OH had wonderful treatment when he had his ankle sorted, but that was in Oxford.

I totally agree with you Enterprise that the insurance company were in their rights to decline the insurance. But everyone has been young free and single at some point in their life and as you know reason does go out of the window at times. I know not for all and some young adults are more than sensible.

I do not know the whole story but have been told not to believe all that the newspapers are quoting as true. If you remember it was firstly reported as a suicide bid which those of us that knew her found very hard to comprehend. One report says she said she was drunk and can't remember anything, another says she had been drinking had come back early but was not drunk, phoned her mum and cannot remember anything after the accident. Words do get twisted. But of course the alcohol was in her system there is no denying that.

She was and I don't like to use the past tense a girl full of the zest of life and I do not think for one minute she had gone there not to have a good time. It is a warning to everyone how vulnerable we are whilst abroad.

I just pray that one day she will be back on her feet, what a very hard lesson she has had to learn......one hopefully that will make lots of others think twice.

Seems like lots of people I need of hugs today, sorry so many are going through a hard time.

Altojack, hope you managed to get some sleep last night and things are a bit more positive today.

Fc, sorry to hear of your loss.

I'm bored already. Have had my radioactive jab, got to return at 12.45 for first of 3 blood tests. So glad there is free wifi at the hospital, there never used to be apart from in the surgical lounge or if you paid out for the very expensive TV/Internet card. At least I know I'll have Internet when I'm here later in the summer!
