Ta as parking services

Hi all, just hoping for some advice. Parked at a friends who lives in a flat. It has private parking and visitors parking. Parked in the visitors spot but this week had a letter requesting £100 from parking company TNS. I contacted my friend and was told that they had forgotten that I should've had a parking card issued when I visited. Something that I wasn't told at the time
. Is this an unfair request from the company and can I appeal? I'd be grateful for any help

are you sure it was TNS ?
not TNC collections ?
AS parking are not even in a trade body now so how did they get hold of your keeper details ?
unless TNC did it on their behalf, in which case a complaint should be made to the DVLA and the BPA
if it is TNC, send them the template letter as KEEPER from the NEWBIES thread and tell them to cancel or issue a popla code
do not admit who was driving, to anybody0 -
Could you please check carefully the name of the PPC on the PCN - quite important for us to give you the correct advice. In parallel:
Please read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky at the top of the forum index, one page back from here, use the Forum Jump button to navigate there.
You do need to read and understand that sticky as you will have to do a bit of work to get rid of your problem. We will help and guide you, but won't be able to do it for you, so the more knowledge you gain about how to deal with this, the better you will handle it, and the more likely you will be successful. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

@Redx - I'm on the same wavelength. It could be Athens Security Services (love the potential acronym - only an idiot would miss the irony of calling his company that!) - a BPA operator, but we need to be certain.
We await confirmation. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

mmmm , could be
I was thinking that it was AS Parking due to the title, who left the BPA a month or two ago I believe
I also think its TNC , not TNS that the OP means
too many questions and not enough info at the moment, deffo agree on that - very ambiguous
I didnt even think it would be Another Stupid Sc@mmer0 -
Just how many times are we sidetracked by inaccurate acronyms, requiring extra effort from us to just get the OP to base 1. No wonder I get grouchy at times.

Indeed, but that is the nature of the board. We get the vulnerable, the easily confused. the Wonga customer.
To some who come here, dealing with a PPC invoice will be the hardest challenge they have ever had to face in their lives. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
A S Parking is Bouncy Kev McManus' mob and is still in the BPA (Athens Security Services Ltd t/as A S Parking).Je suis Charlie.0

Dear Mr XXXX
I have been asked to look into the issues that you have raised. Before I contact AM Parking, can you forward copies of the two Parking Charegs issued to you on 29/03/2015, and any other issued after 27ty Feb 2015.
Can you quote the above reference number on any communication.
Regards
