AM parking services ltd

Hi,

My wife got a PCN from this company on 9/12/14 for apparently not displaying a valid permit in a parking bay behind some shops where there are also private flats.. On 6/3/15 some 80 odd days later she received a notice to owner from a company called parking collection services asking for £120 for full payment.
I have been looking at newbie bit and notice that they are way over the 56 day time limit. Also AM parking ticket says they are a member of BPA but I can't find them on the BPA website!
I just want to confirm that now I am going to send off the template letter with addons stating that are not adhering to time limits set and also lying regarding their member status. Is this all correct or shall I add or omit anything??

thanks

cant find them on there either, maybe complain to the BPA as they are using the logo on their website with a member number too

as for time limits, they may not be using POFA 2012 , so check the paperwork and see if it mentions POFA

if not, they have up to 6 years to chase the driver (who shall not be named)

so yes send the template, mentioning that they cannot use POFA 2012 and so as KEEPER you deny the debt and they should send their fake INVOICE to the driver (who shall not be named)

you could also state that they do not appear on the BPA website (although they may have done when the incident occurred)

dont inadvertently give away driver details, just insist that as RK its nothing to do with you

also edit post #1 so you are not implicating anyone too :) (these forums are public)

Definitely a query to the BPA. This outfit doesn't figure on the AOS list, but their (PPC's) website is full of BPA references and logos.

If they are not such members, then how did they acquire the OP's contact details?

@OP - you need to pursue this vigorously.

This is typical of AM Parking Services Ltd and of Parking Collection Services. AM Parking Services Ltd used to be members of the BPA, but presumably got thrown out for charging more than £100 at the first NTK. They were BPA members (i.e. on the BPA website) as recently at January 15, 2015. Parking Collection Services also have access to the DVLA records via their association with Debt Recovery Plus.

Just make sure you don't mention who the driver was. Searching the forum for Parking Collection Services shows that little, if any, of their letters are POFA compliant.

in the words of the BPA (03/03)

I can confirm AM Parking left our membership on the 27th February 2015.

    Thank you for your e-mail.

We do allow operators some time to remove our logos from their paperwork, signage and website. Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention which we will monitor.

just to update, we have now received a letter from Debt recovery Plus ltd demanding payment of £150 within 14 days or threat of court action. I have still not had any response from AM parking from the appeal email I sent off. The BPA did reply saying that they were members when ticket was issued. Do I just ignore this one and wait? thanks

Another complaint to the BPA that:

    1. The PPC have not responded to your initial appeal - which you assume would have been rejected, just like 99% of all initial appeals to all PPCs.
    2. You have not received (being denied) a POPLA code, despite the warning given to PPCs simultaneously by the BPA and the DVLA.
    3. The PPC has referred this on to, and you are getting hassle from, debt collectors, despite your initial appeal being unresolved.

Ask the BPA by how many sanction points the PPC will be penalised.

Send a copy of your BPA complaint to the PPC.

    Time for hard-ball.

AM Parking Services Ltd now appear on the AOS list. Sounds as though someone pre-empted the acceptance of their membership. That still sounds like a COP breach but I doubt that anything will ensue - it being put down to over-enthusiasm.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(
