BTW ... OP means Original Poster (you in this case) or Opening Post (the post that starts a thread). They are interchangeable depending on the context of use.0

My sincere apologies Redx
. My confusion was mixing up what you said with Herzlos reference to POPLA templates and in fairness Coupon-mad who has posted the POPLA appeals does himself refer to them as templates. I did understand and do understand that a template is just that – something that you adapt for your own purposes and that is what I will do thanks to your guidance

thanks bod1467. Quite obvious now you point it out!!!0

herself (not himself - Coupon_mad).

ha ha , lol
well , I suppose its all about opinions, and despite what "she" says I do not believe those are templates
I have word doc templates on my pc and they are standard letters where you alter stuff like name , address , phone number , ref number
each of those popla appeals were bespoke appeals for specific companies and situations , the reason there are so many of them is because no 2 are alike , hence not templates at all
but they are excellent examples of popla appeals and you can pick and mix from them which I have done more than once for friends and family in the last 2 years
I am not sure any of them would fit what I have already helped with, but as examples they formed the basis of any appeal I have helped to draft , plus not yet failed to win for anyone I have helped
so maybe its nitpicking , but the only real template is post #1 of the NEWBIES thread , where that can go unaltered (unless you remove the rant part after e) ) to any ppc
the main point is, copy and paste a PE one into notepad and start drafting your own BESPOKE appeal to popla , chopping and changing as you wish , so glad to see you are now doing this
note:- the IAS appeals for JLA are more involved and there are NO templates for those appeals, although there are a few airport examples on here (like Humberside) that you can plagiarise0 -
Glad we both see the funny side of this
and yes I will alter those "words"
of others and seek your considered reply - thanks in advance!!
Reading through the significant postings on the topic of "parking invoices" and however they are categorised I am left somewhat perplexed as to why "we" the general public are having to jump through significant hoops to cancel these "invoices". I would have thought that our elected government should be passing some robust legislation so that we don't have to do this (is that naïve? don't think so!).
Given that so many appeals win on the GPEL why is this not the basis of these invoices? Again I understand that the likes of PE base it all on fear and that most will pay thinking its unavoidable but for many who don't google the problem they will pay and a significant number of them will be our elderly and vulnerable - the f****ing MP's should be sorting this out not the Experts on forums such as this (whom are giving outstanding advice and deserve all our huge thanks). Sorry that turned into a bit of a rant!0 -

They might well be doing, and here's your opportunity to input directly into anything they may be contemplating. The points you've made in your last post are some of the very ones that should be made to Government via this consultation process - go for it, both barrels.

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Just looking through one of the other PE appeals which I was going to use as a starting point, one of the points refers to unreadable signage which, in the case of Macclesfield is not strictly the case - I think these parking companies are cottoning on to some of these appeal points and are amending their signage. AS the signage is possibly clear at Mac should I take this part out?
Also in the case of my wifes "invoice" the photo's do in fairness have a time stamp on the top of the "arriving" and "leaving" photos. Again should I take out the part about the ANPR?
that then leaves my wife with the GPEL and the no standing authority. Would these 2 points be robust enough on their own to stand any chance at POPLA's appeal?0 -
In a POPLA appeal you allege non-compliant signage. (And I don't think ANY such signage ANYWHERE is fully-compliant). It is then for the PPC to rebut the claim, not for you to prove it.

(If this was an IAS appeal then the reverse is true - IAS always accept the PPC is right unless the MOTORIST can prove otherwise. Hence why we call it Skippy and his kangaroo court).0
