    Proper dripping should not be confused with lard. I'd rather buy it from my local butcher with all the proper jelly bits in it than mass manufactured by supermarket brands.
  • Actually saturated fat from animals is the healthiest for you -it's what we as humans evolved to eat. I am really cross the dripping size has been reduced. I buy loads of it to cook with (not on sandwiches - it's the bread (carbs) that are unhealthy!!

    Everything's getting smaller now in the supermarket . but the price stays the same . it's ridiculous . I had to buy 4 packets for my chip pan nearly £2.50. before was around £1.20. I think it's because famous chefs are using dripping now for roast potatoes etc . plus recently they said sunflower oil etc causes cancer . prob cashing in on it because more ppl are now using it for cooking
