Proper dripping should not be confused with lard. I'd rather buy it from my local butcher with all the proper jelly bits in it than mass manufactured by supermarket brands.0

Actually saturated fat from animals is the healthiest for you -it's what we as humans evolved to eat. I am really cross the dripping size has been reduced. I buy loads of it to cook with (not on sandwiches - it's the bread (carbs) that are unhealthy!!0

Everything's getting smaller now in the supermarket . but the price stays the same . it's ridiculous . I had to buy 4 packets for my chip pan nearly £2.50. before was around £1.20. I think it's because famous chefs are using dripping now for roast potatoes etc . plus recently they said sunflower oil etc causes cancer . prob cashing in on it because more ppl are now using it for cooking0
