I never roast my spuds in anything but goose fat or beef dripping - can't beat them! :j

    Lin ;)
You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset. ;)

We only eat pork dripping with the meat jelly on bread . Beef dripping makes the best chips and roast potatoes in the world .

Lots of my family have lived into mid and late nineties with a couple of Queens birthday card recipients .

Any other drivel that you want shot down in flames ?

    lol someone sounds butt-hurt

noticed this price hike in my local asda over the last month, one 1.75 litre bottle of diet coke (and probably coke) was £1.72 or you could buy 2 for £1.75.

then 2 weeks ago it was buy 2 for £2 and then last week it was buy 2 for £3, so i switched to diet pepsi at 98p a bottle and a bigger size too

Just noticed this today.. I'd picked up two Brittania beef drippings but didn't realise they were only 250g each... Morrisons charged me 69p each, whereas before they were selling 500g for 72p... From reading the comments here it appears the manufacturer has stopped producing 500g packets..but at the end of the day the responsibility lies with the supermarkets for the incredible 100% price hike.

Thats more to do with Coca-cola than ASDA really, you notice it in all the shops that sell Coke, it switches from BOGOF, 2 for £2 or 2 for £3. Sometimes all the supermarkets have the same offer at the same time, other times the different stores have one of the 3 variations.

Does it? Are you privy top the wholesale prices?
  • Princess Foods who own Britania dripping say "it's what the customer wants" when justifying their recent 95% price hike on beef dripping but we all know the real reason is to make a lot more money from the same amount of product no matter how they try to twist it.
I suggest a total boycott of all Princess Products until they bring back the 500g block of dripping at a sensible price, and treat their long time customers with respect instead of treating them like fools with bottomless pockets
