I expect the majority of dental treatment is for broken fillings when eating food, this is certainly the case with me. After reading it again I suppose
Any benefit for implants... not included...
    means fillings
No, I would have thought that that meant 'implants' as in 'teeth implanted in your gum'.

I think they've already excluded teeth/fillings damaged when eating food as not being 'direct oral impact'.
  • Well good luck getting through folks ...

I was on hold for 23 minutes this morning before the line was disconnected !!

I've been on hold for 10 minutes so far...
"We're really sorry we have been unable to answer your call yet. Please stay on the line and a consultant will be with you shortly" Is being repeated every 2 seconds just to annoy me...
I'll update this post if I get through!

    EDIT:
At 20 mins...got through, the whole process only took 3 minutes and I'm all set up... They didn't take any payment details, and when they asked I said I hadn't been to the dentist in a few years and I'm with the NHS she didn't even bother trying to sell me the other package. Great Success!

Also, just for information, they are underwritten by AXA health insurance, which is who you will talk to. And they said they may pass your details, but the wording seemed to indicate that it was only for medical purposes, or in an emergency...but it was vague so it may mean for marketing purposes?
    I love my Volvo! :D

My hubby was on hold for 20 mins before getting through but is now insured for free! Brilliant! I am now on hold myself and don't mind because of what I'll get out of it.Note- they will only let one person apply per phone call.
EDIT: I was on hold for 20mins and then they cut me off! How annoying! I am determined though to get this and am now on hold again!
EDIT: I was on hold for a further 10 mins and was cut off again!!!I decided to follow another poster's example and rang back and pressed option 2. I got through immediately and am now covered.PRESS OPTION 2 for hassle free cover!

I phoned this morning, aked to press option 1 or 2, pressed 1, then sounded if the line was dead. Phoned back again, then pressed option 2-got through straight away. All sorted out in 5 mins and yes they do try to offer you dental insurance for £16.95 a month for private (cannot claim n the first 3 months) and £8.95 a month for NHS (cannot claim in the first month) or alternatively if you do joint insurance you get a slight discount!
  • After holding on the phone for 20 mins this morning before successfully registering, I subsequently found out that you can register for this exact same offer online via Quidco, which saves waiting on the phone and earns you £1 cashback...doh!
  • hi, earlier in the year I was given a leaflet by a guy for free dental. phoned up and was given something much the same, only directly by AXA not Tesco...........they do try to sell you something else, but sometimes it's worth a listen.

Wow, thank's for the quidco tip! Just signed up online and will hopefully get paid a pound for doing it. They have £1 cashback for free physio cover too!

Thanks for this info. I can't see where to register for this online.... can you give me any hints please?
  • Hi Pattybarndance

Go to Quidco.com and search for "free dental" then click the link to AXA PPP. You do not need to be a Quidco member to click the link, but if you are (and you are logged in) you should get £1 cashback.
