Addicted to checking my S&S ISA

This is going to sound so stupid but I think I'm addicted to checking the status of it... Not for fear of losing money but just curiosity as to how it's performing. Did it go up and by how much? Did it go down? Etc
I try to refrain from checking it everyday and it's a long term ISA so it makes no sense to keep checking it. From today onwards I'm just going to check it once a month and that will be when I top it up.
How often do you guys check your S&S ISA?

Haha, me too. I check daily. Only to see the ups and downs, and rarely trade (3 switches in the last year, 8 funds total).0

Thanks for the link. Like some of the posters in that thread I am new investing so I'm just checking way too often. It would be helpful if I didn't feel the need to check all the time. Once a month is good I think.0 -
Since I registered on line, and since the FTSE has gone up, I've checked but not particularly regularly. Until my online registration I never checked as it required me calling L&G, I used to just wait until my annual statement came. I do try to stop myself though, as it's meaningless anyway - I opened it several years ago with the intention of leaving it to (hopefully early) retirement, so still another 15 years to go most likely.
Edited to add - this thread just made me check again. I do need to stop though, it's gone up a few hundred pounds in the last week and I know it will go down again, I think I'd rather be oblivious!0 -
It perhaps depends what you're checking so frequently for, if it's panicking about losses then it might be worth asking yourself if it's truly something you're comfortable doing, or doing for the right reasons i.e. speculating for a quick profit rather than investing.
Then again it's your money, do whatever pleases you.
I "check" often to obtain data and plug it into my spreadsheet, the value of the numbers themselves don't really matter to me, other than dictating the next move regarding where the next purchases will be and for how much.
I don't have any immediate need for the money at this stage so happy to let it do it's thing, perhaps in ten years I might start paying a little more attention to the values and how to secure some of the gains but right now it's mostly irrelevant.'We don't need to be smarter than the rest; we need to be more disciplined than the rest.' - WB0 -

I'm not concerned about losing money because I know it's an investment and I would be naive to think the price will only go up. It will go down all the time. I think I'm just checking because I'm new to it and in 6 months or a year i'll probably check it less and less0 -

Once a month.
Unless one of my alerts triggers triggering a review, or some company news comes out that changes my view on the story.
But if you're only investing in funds, then you could probably go down to once a quarter.0 -

I'm checking my almost daily too. Mainly because it's doing so well at the moment. If it was making a loss I would probably lose interest and forget about it. my isa is very long term too so I'm pretty much wasting my time checking all the time!0

Daily.Sometimes twice. Sad I know...
(Though tbh, I tend to check more often when funds etc are on the rise. When they're falling I look less often and with my hands over my eyes, from behind the sofa.)0
