Just wait till all the fund platforms have apps compatible with the Apple Watch or equivalent!
"I'm just checking the time, honest!"0 -
Every day to every few days - I think as long as you're just looking and not panic-selling, regular checking is just a nerdy hobby.(Nearly) dunroving0

I only check once a month, and obsessively keep a record of what the figures are at that point.0

I check and record the data when my monthly drip feed goes in and new purchases are made.
Recorded into s/sheet to track performance and see if anything needs adjusting.0 -
Hello. I'm puk999 and I check my S&S ISA daily.0

Everyday! I think if you are sensible and don't panic then it's fine!
I don't buy into this preconceived notion that it's wrong to look everyday, investing is my hobby and I like to look at my shares and any potential bargains that are floating around.
Checking daily doesn't make me overtrade as I Only trade a few times a year when I'm 100% sure on a share.0 -
I'm guilty of checking every day too. I really don't think there is anything wrong with checking so often. Right now I'm very overweight in cash and waiting for opportunities to top up (also possibly buy something new), but if I were to check once a week there's a very real possibility that I might miss an opportunity completely or at the very least miss the optimum time to buy. It's hard enough tying to time when to buy even with constant vigilance!0

I check daily, but only to input figures in to my spreadsheet. No panics about short term decreases - long term view always!0

How do you identify when it's the optimum time to buy?BrockStoker wrote: »if I were to check once a week there's a very real possibility that I might miss an opportunity completely or at the very least miss the optimum time to buy.0 -
