finally persuaded ds2 he's not too cool to go in to a library :rotfl: he came out with a couple of books and asked if he could go back tomorrow
I got myself a few books too and spied a couple of reference books I have to go down to read, I wonder of I'd be able to take a flask of coffee with me :) I love books :)

Apart from the ironing I got through my to do list and now have made myself another one  ah well tomorrow's another day :)

It's freezing here and I've grudgingly put the heating on
Got paintings to finish today and I can't work in the cold

Just checked through the bank and bills, all in order and ready to make more payments next week, written out my shopping list for Friday and meal plan sorted, and I'm 25% of the way to another SB payment :D

My no unexpected spend days are at 3/5 and my no spend days are at 2/5

Still haven't used my tumble dryer, it's been weeks now

Got a huge to do list but have to leave it for tomorrow too busy with paintings today and then more course work reading and notes tonight

The house I like is still for sale :j :rotfl:

  • Today is going to be a good day I can feel it :)

Lovely dh is working from home today so I have company for a change that isn't of the four legged variety :)

Just need to frame paintings this morning and then spend the rest of the day reading course work

Dh car didn't make it to the garage as it was dead, ooops !! need to jump start it tonight and it will be going on the weekend instead which is good as it gives me a few more days before I need to spend anything on it :)

all going well I should have a couple of pound extra tonight to pay towards the next debt on my list :D

got a feeling SB is going to be tricky to get my points today but I will do
it :D am determined to get my next £5 before next week
and determined to get debt free :j

  • what a day, I'm shattered !

Made two extra payments to catalogue 2 making the total to pay at the end of May even less :T
delivered a very special painting, my customer cried and I cried (happy tears thankfully :D ) very emotional, I was quite tired out afterwards !

Beans on toast for tea, I always feel really bad when I make this but my lot actually want it, I just feel like I've not made any effort ! although I only make it when I know I've got a particularly busy day and need something quick and extra easy, I really need to stop feeling guilty about everything all the time I don't know what's the matter with me lately

Got a bit of ironing to do now and then an early night with my books, I've got an exam in September and I've only just realised how close September is ! Only 4 more months  need to get my notes in order and file everything to make it easier to read through

another busy day tomorrow, taking MIL to do a few errands then my weekly shop, so excited to see how little I spend :D and fingers crossed it won't be alot because I had to spend £7 on a calculator for ds2 today then I bought some hot chocolate and then I just had to buy a bar of chocolate  I was hoping for a no spend day :(

    Saw this quote today,
"Exist to be happy, not to impress"
It's just the kind of thing I'm always telling the children, peer pressure can be so hard at the age mine are at, and when they're older I don't want them getting into a pickle spending too much trying to keep up, hopefully it will sink in before they're out in the big bad world without me :)

Such a busy day today havent had a chance to get on here, so quick update,
Ald1 and l1dl weekly shop today, spent just under £44 :T I'm really pleased with that, it could be even less if I cut a few extra treats out but I'm very happy with the cost, I wanted to spend less than £60 :D also put £20 diesel in car, I usually put £50-60 in a week but this week only £40 :)
Am letting the shopping and diesel savings sit in my account until the end of the month just incase I have an overspend,
Busy weekend ahead, dh car to garage tomorrow and kids sports all weekend so no bank holiday rest here :(

I'm very impressed with your Christmas present buying through the year. How organised! And it will save lots. Not this year for me, I am trying to clear the decks to move.

Sorry to hear about your cat dying. I had a very bad tempered South London moggie for 17 years who hated everyone except me. Said I wouldn't have another. I did. She is much prettier, but I miss that grouchy charmless boy!

Thanks :) I've been doing my xmas shop through the year since the kids were born, ive had some amazing bargains over the years that I would never have found nearer xmas and also the children have had masses of things xmas day which I would never have been able to afford had I started just before xmas ! I dont spend alot on the things I find, So far this year ive had a pile of books some for my children and some to give as gifts all were 10-25p each at the works clearance table ! If I see a sale or clearance table I'm straight to it with my xmas head on :)

Thanks for my cat, its a really hard time, she's been with me for so long and because I work from home she's kept me company always following me around or sitting on my laptop when I'm trying to type :D going to take me a long time I think :(
