Last year, hubby and I were walking through a park and near to the gate we spotted some notes. Picked them up and found there was £80.

There was no-one nearby, but there was a bank over the road, so thinking that someone might have dropped it after visiting the cashpoint, he went over.

While he was in the bank, a young woman appeared and I could see she was looking for something, so asked her if she'd lost some money. She said she had, so I pointed her in the direction of the bank and told her my husband was in there with some money we had found.

She was so relieved, as were we. All I could think when we found it, was how gutted I'd feel if it had been me that had lost that much.

Another time, I found a wad of notes by the till in Ikea. Handed it to the guy on the till.

I've never had much money, so I've always been really careful not to lose it.

I used to work in a pub/nightclub (two places owned by same company) and regularly found notes under the bar at the end of the night. It was a good way to increase my wages :)

I've also done the walking away without the cashback, but luckily managed to get it from the store after they cashed up.

By the way if you ever think you lost money or has it stolen in a shop ask to see the shop cctv as long as you can remember roughly what time you were in there they can look for you.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I am constantly finding money in the pockets of my DH and DD dirty clothing. As I have reminded them constantly about this, I have now decided to keep it.

I have bought myself a new sun lounger for the garden with it.
Never again will the wolf get so close to my door

What do you mean, you 'think' you've found it?

I used a self service machine recently, and requested cashback.
I took my receipt and forgot to take the cash!! I was fuming, when I realised hours later.

Next customer musta got an extra £20 change, with their shopping!

I dropped 200-300 once in the town centre. Thankfully a lovely lady spotted it and ran after me (before I'd even noticed) as that would've been a shock.

I lost 250 in pounds and euros in Berlin last year. I was gutted. I'd been there for a course and it was my first 'free' day there as my holiday. Whilst trying to get to grips with the trains and the underground and getting thoroughly lost in the process I lost the money. I still can't be sure I wasn't pickpocketed, but I was gutted when I discovered I'd lost it.
Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending

I was getting on a plane in Orlando, Florida last week, when a staff member came running on to the plane asking if anyone was called [my name]. Turns out I had left my purse containing about $300, and all of my bank cards and ID, on a seat in the terminal. I am so glad it was returned, I can't imagine the stress of my purse being over 4,000 miles away!
