I got a reply from FB

"We’ve reviewed your report, and it looks like this is no longer an issue. If this happens again, please reply to this email with details, and we'll do our best to help. Sorry for any inconvenience this caused."

I guess they're saying that because I can now log on. I replied and explained - again. I quoted where it tells me I'm banned from liking, and the error message I get when trying to like a page. I also said that it's happened to lots of people, most of us don't know why, and I added a link to this thread as one example of how it's being talked about all over the Internet.

Again, if they tell me, I'll tell you.

I replied to their email with similar Blu - asking why they just suddenly ban people without warning and asked them what we all did that was so wrong. I will let you know if they reply too, though I won't hold my breath!

I wonder why they're just singled certain people out as I still have friends posting comps on my newsfeed.

I share every comp I enter whether it asks me to or not & i've not been banned.

I never write 'liked & shared' though & i've noticed one or two of the others that haven't been banned don't either so I wonder if that makes any difference.

No, I never write that because I only do maybe one sharing comp in two or three months. It has to be for something expensive I really want and was planning to buy anyway.

I just went in and liked a couple of posts even though i had the same email. Have a go and see if you can like now.

I can like posts - I cannot like new pages though.

I had issues this morning and there was no comping connection at the time.

I was sharing a new post (a blog post) from a page I manage, to my personal page, and up popped the blocked spam type box with a captcha to prove it's genuine etc.

Instead I clicked on their link to say why I felt this had been incorrectly applied, and submitted the info.

I did the share- filled in the captcha- but it seems to be being held somewhere as it hadn't appeared on my personal page.

So I assume they will eventually answer... :mad:

I got the month ban from liking new pages yesterday.
Just tried to share a couple of comps from FB apps and got the dreaded unreadable captchas :eek:
I think I'll stay off FB until they sort this.
I appealed against the ban but haven't heard anything back.

For those with the ban, when you look at your 'support dashboard', does it say:

Pending
You're temporarily restricted from liking a Page or following/subscribing to a Profile until 14 May at 15:14.

?? I wonder why it says pending? Mmmmmm I am wondering if FB are trying to fix a problem as pending usually means 'awaiting decision or settlement'
