Baby on Board signs

I take it to mean that there's possibly a distracted driver on board and therefore keep a good stopping distance. Now that I have a baby I can really understand what a distraction they are.
^^this^^
My lot are grown up and I never used such signs but I see them as a warning that the driver may be distracted by an infant on board, or that they may be desperately tired! I try to give them plenty of room to react.0 -

I don't think this is what the signs are intended for but I think this is a nice way to respond to them0 -

Really? You may do that but countless other drivers won't, so the sign is pointless......................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

In which case perhaps a better use for them would be to alert the police that they should escort these overtired/distracted parents home before they cause an accident. Now that makes sense.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
I had a 'Twins on Board' sign in the vague hope that someone didn't box my parked car in on both sides. Never worked!0

I bought one of these for my autistic son, i think it has helped when we are at traffic lights and people in other cars would sometimes give me odd looks.

I understood "baby on board" signs to be an indicator to emergency services to look around a vehicle for a small person that could have been flung out in an accident.
I would assume emergency services always check the vehicle itself, and other drivers are equally considerate of other vehicles, no matter who is on board.0 -

It is for Emergency services, unfortunately the market has now been hijacked by cretins who use these markers for "Taxi driver dad" "Grandparents on board" .. and all other useless ones. I have a very straight forward baby on board written in black on a nasty bright yellow sign. Unlike a lot of people, when it's just the adults in the car, the sign comes down. It's a bit like when people use the parent and toddler parking bays just because they think an empty car seat will fool you.0

I hate these signs, always have. I can't see what purpose they actually serve.
I am pregnant and I certainly won't be getting one.
Even worse are the 'Grandchild on board' bla bla bla - no one cares!
Bought is to buy. Brought is to bring.0
